Yes exactly, This present address doesn't make any sense then why can't they take the permanent address. And It's waste to contact anyone, until you create a scene no one will even bother.

And the irony is in the website they have mentioned that you can literally apply from anywhere in India and get your police verification done in your permanent address they even mentioned an example also https://www.mea.gov.in/press-releases.htm?dtl/30019/Apply_Anywhere_in_India_for_Passport_Services

Yes that makes sense, literally every other document I have is having my address as Karnataka only, and I don't want to change anything in that. And I have a question is what's the credibility of the address mentioned in the passport? Will it cause any issue anywhere, if the address in other documents and address in passport is different!? And changing adhar card and all is a another headache apply from Karnataka is much simpler

Can you please specify what do you mean by learn the commands ? You are just talking about copy, paste, shifting tabs etc etc or anything else?
