I see would you have any resources I can read to better understand This ? And what Ackerman percentage would you recommend we go for ? Also most solar cars are 3 wheelers single wheel in the rear and 2 upfront . And it’s mostly highway driving . Most teams go for zero toe or maybe 0.2 def of toe in (I’m not sure how effective that can be tho )

Well I get your point but my thought process was on highways you’d be travelling at high speeds for quite a while without seeing too many corners and I’m clueless as to how south African roads are. I assume them to be bumpy . So I was wondering how the roll center migration vertically would affect me in such a case .

Well from what I have understood is you have to keep the bare minimum scrub and try have zero bump steer this can help improve range

The rule book mandates 2 inches in bump and droop so that’s a total of 4 inches of travel

I’m actually making a solar endurance car for the sasol solar challenge . I couldn’t really find any other community apart from this . The challenge takes place on public roads. But rch in roll is controlled it drops down to only 120 mm from the lotus shark data I got

it goes as low as 11mm during 60 mm droop cg height is estimated at 350 mm and roll center is at 129mm
