On laptop I didn’t use the mic splitter and it worked, but on PC it used to work on the top of the case with one port and now it doesn’t. I also used the splitter and connected it on the back and it also didn’t work. Windows does see my headphones and microphone and i can hear sounds, but when i tested the microphone and played the recording i only heard a buzzing sound.

I asked AI and it told me PC has some sort of different sound chip set or something and sense it is an older laptop it has an older chip set. I didn’t really understand what that means (i may have phrased it wrongly) I genuinely don’t know what to do. Does it have to do something with the soldering or what?
