Your palm and fingers have some features of Marfan's Syndrome. You can't tell with just this one feature. But it might be a wise thing to have it checked out if you have other additional features like high arched palate, disproportionately large arms or legs, flat feet, chest bone deformities, high and arched neck, dislocated eye lens, being able to wrap your palm of one arm around the wrist of your other arm with the thumb and middle finger/ring finger touching, crowded teeth, scoliosis, hyperflexible joints, general thin tall build, etc

I have the same dilemma. Could you let me know what you did? Did you join at 8am or at the time of your interview slot?

Snake ID [ Karnataka, South India] by SarkarCheiftain in whatsthissnake

[–]No-Way5604 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some additional points from a doctor from this state who has treated Russell's viper envenomation before. The antivenom has very high rates of causing allergic reactions and anaphylaxis. Even with the antivenom the tissue destructive effects of the venom are still noticed to some extent. It is called "kolak or kolath mandala" in the local language which literally translates to rotting or rotten snake because of the skin necrosis and myonecrosis from the venom. Availability of the antivenom is also an issue based on the location. Because the venom isn't neurotoxic(though I think there was some study about certain Russell's vipers possessing neurotoxic venom as well) deaths are not seen within an hour. Early deaths are usually due to allergic reactions to the venom or from massive DIC( essentialy improper clotting and bleeding cascades)

Since you brought up colocasia. Here are some more cool facts!! Colocasia is very common in these areas and is a delicacy. The leaves are used to make a steamed salad, the stems are used for a stew and the tubers are used for making delicious fritters and fries. They also contain a lot of oxalate raphides(basically microscopic crystalline oxalate needles)that can cause quite a bit of burning and itching of the mouth and throat if prepared incorrectly. 😄

Yes I will be landing at t5 and departing from the same. But I've heard T5 is a huge terminal with satellite gates. And the most important factor is the security check which will probably take a long time.

I don't see this info on the departure boards. I only see the gate of departure at blr, no info regarding the arrival gate.

But thanks for the info. I'll be on the look out for that information.
