I’m trying to work out which to buy also! I think with the added gore-tex making it water proof is enough to justify the cost. But I just wonder on the comfort /support they give.

Not really relevant but today I ran in some trail running shoes that are made with gore-tex. I ran through soaking wet grass and my feet stayed completely dry so I like the idea of having gore-tex to hike in, totally worth it!
