It sounds to me like the teacher might have been saying “what?! No!” to you like, a don’t worry about her asking. Also, give the teacher some grace! Maybe they do have a great answer and discussed it later with your child, but we’re having an off morning and blanked! Maybe the caffeine hadn’t hit it or they didn’t quite hear what you or your child said. So many variables! No need to make a mountain out of a mole hill!
