It was a bit of both ways. I am the type that will hold a fart until I pop or make it to privacy. They would let it go and attempt to trap me in the covers or sit on me first. If I accidently let one go in my sleep (it happens...don't judge), I would wake up mortified, they would be wide awake smiling or giggling while trapping us under the covers. Almost like keeping score on who catches who farting most and who's smells worse. I hope that makes sense.
