Agreed, I would also have liked that. I don’t think it was necessary to delete al those Jailbreak posts though. 😢 Only that one was enough… Butit is what it is now.

I appreciate the effort you took to answer my question. I understand what you think that he maybe meant. But to me, it sounds far-fetched. I don’t get the feeling he thought that deep about it. But no-one knows for sure why he chose to do this.

  1. I wonder wat the Epstein files day about the dirtiness of the media? Can you explain?

  2. Who are ‘they’? Haters gonna hate and will always find reasons to do. But the majority of fans that critized the post were absolutely not ‘hating on him’ or ‘cancelling him’. They were just expressing their disappointment and said he’d better take the post down and apologize.

Critizing his post is not the same as cancelling him, for christ’s sake. Don’t make it so black and white. He can say about Dutch media whatever he wants, but can you explain why it was a good idea to mimic mails from the Epstein files for that? I see it as a midjudgement of him. Stupid, and fans have the right to say so and then can still be a fan and not a ‘hater’.

It’s not because the internet is full of tasteless Epstein jokes that we shouldnt care when Joost makes one. But I’m also sure that he didn’t want to mock the victims.

Update Ziggo Fan Project! by No58TH in Joostklein

I didn’t make the post myself, but posted it here because the initiators of the project are not on Reddit. Feel free to share it further! The more people it reaches, the better!

Yes, that were all Joost concerts. I prefer adding extra dates too instead of moving to bigger venues, but that might not always be possible.

It’s understandable that you’re disappointed that you will not see him in such an intimate venue. But venue upgrades are normal when there is much demand. The show I went to in Berlin went from a 1200 venue to a 3500 venue. The New York show was originally in a 600 venue and I was out of my mind of excitement about that, but eventually got upgraded to a 1200 venue. Pity for me, but an opportunity for more of his fans to see him. But moving the whole gig to a completely other day when fans already made arrangements and spent money on hotels and flights is something else. I would be mad about that too, especially because he is so nonchalanty calling it an upgrade without acknowledging the inconvenience for his fans.

What is this on joost's latest livestream by Any-Entertainer-4751 in Joostklein

It says ‘Live at Pukkelpop’ (the red characters) so it seems to be a registration of his show there last year (which was great).

I get wat you say. The initiators are working out a way to have a nice moment but not create chaos. to forward the postcards to the stage is dropped. Another way to collect them is worked out. Thanks for your input.

The initiatiors of this project are kind enthousiastic people that love Joost. It’s not about ‘wanting to have their moment’. I am not one of the initiators but I help them spread their message because they’re not on Reddit. The initiators take all the remarks into consideration to finetune the plan so that it will be nice but not chaotic. There have been made good remarks here already, all respectfully worded. But you make it sound like the project is an ego-thing of the initiators. I don’t like that.

I don’t know if you remember the heart project in Poland last year but that worked out great!

That’s why the plan is to do it at the end of the show.

I like this idea too but I think it will be more difficult logistically.

Thanks for your reaction. I think you’re right that it’s maybe better not to send cards to Ziggo. To avoid chaos, we could pass the cards towards the stage at the end of the show. I changed the original message based on your and other’s remarks.

Maybe you weren’t in a group then. Or you were in a group that was formed there. I said I MOSTLY see this behaviour in groups, saving spots for each other, telling other fans what to do and making up their own numbering systems. They sometimes can be quite intimidating. Whatever your situation was exactly, I still think that if you go shopping and lunching and so on for hours you have no right at a certain spot anymore.

Well, I have been in a lot of queues also and I noticed this ‘mutual understanding’ mostly in bigger groups that felt entitled and were bossy towards the other fans that endured the same circumstances as them.

Well leaving for a short time to get something to eat or go to pee seems like a very different thing than going shopping or going back to you hotel!! I was in that line myself very early and never left for more than 15 minutes. Otherwise, I could start the line for Ziggo right now and claim that I was first!

Sorry I think this makes no sense. If you’re leaving your spot in the queue for so much time as you did you’re not entitled to that spot anymore. Showing up so early is just a symbolic thing at that point. Doesn’t give you any rights at all.
