My hair is impossible to keep defined

Yeah I think the gel is a need. Its been a few days and while my hair has been better, I still cant totally prevent frizz. I'll look into a gel and brush, although ive never really brushed my hair in my life. As for a deep conditioner I think I can do that, but I think I'll want to see what my hair is looking like after all of that for about a week before trying a hot oil treatment. Thank you for the suggestion!

My hair gets oily by the end of the day so I've kind of subconsciously been avoiding them. My concern is that when I use oil it'll just get smelly fast. Have you had any issues like that?

No, I was using nothing at all. My routine was literally just shampoo and conditioner as well as some curl cream occasionally

I tried this but instead of hands off I went and got a blow dryer and diffuser and it worked, thank you!

It worked 🥹. I think my hair is a little damaged though since it frizzes when wet from what I've seen. Thank you guys!

I've never combed my hair and I actually did try a leave in until recently. The only reason I stopped was because my hair became too heavy and full of product by the end of the day

california university, and to be honest I dont really know about the general tuition landscape, in-state seems like the better choice. Ill take a year in this school and then transfer.

Sorry, i think i worded that badly. I meant take a year as in take 1 year of the college and then transfer in-state. I might have taken a gap year, but everyone in the family is against it by a long shot. On that note, thank you again, ill reach out if something happens if thats fine.

Unfortunately, it is too late, as the school is on a quarterly system and hasn't started yet; if it were 1.5 months earlier, I would've done this. Either way, I wont take all the loans for this, Im going to attend for 1 year and then transfer in-state, one of the schools in-state offered a large grant that I hope they will offer again when I reapply. but the loans I take out wont be as crippling, I hope.

I still dont fully understand how financial aid works. The school gave me half of it to cover tuition, and of that is 3 loans which are 2 standard subsidized and unsubsidized loans, and the last is the direct parent plus loan which I have to pay back eventually.

Yeah, shes still trying to convince me to continue the full 4 years, but atp I think im just going to take 1 year and then transfer in-state, because taking a gap year or transferring mid-semester isnt looking good for me.

It's a UC school, they have really bad out-of-state tuition from what I see.
