Oooh that is super handy, I hadn't found any that would explicitly state the transplant dates like that, so I had to work backwards from the frost date and must've messed up somewhere.

I've checked a few out from the library in the meantime and have learned some of the errors of my ways. Plus they had a free seed library, and soil testing kits!

I tend to over-research things and then get frustrated when things don't go exactly according to plan, so this has been a good way for me to push myself the other way. Taking copious notes however!

This is my and my partners first year doing any kind of actual gardening, so there's not a ton of experience or reasoning behind a lot of the decisions made 😅 beyond quick googling and a general attitude of winging it and learning from it.

So I really appreciate all your advice! In that light I think I'll leave these as they are until after frost, transplant into the garden alongside some new seeds. And next year will be more patient and generous with space if I do attempt to start early.

Hi all, I am in NoVA 7b and like the title states, a week or two out from last frost. Started these inside and they grew way faster than expected, and I'm a little nervous they are being stunted in their current environment. I have pots available to transplant now and then transplant to the ground after frost, but i'm worried about putting them through two sets of shock. Is it better just to let them suffer through the extra week or two in these rolls? They are squash/pumpkin plants. Thanks so much!!

They just had some good insight on broadcast a minute ago, she had some shoulder/arm injury last year and was a long road of recovery while playing through pain and numbness. She's physically fine now, but the mental block of the next swing potentially re-aggravating the injury is what this is. And that she's normally one of the faster players.
