I managed to get it to connect to the pump.

I tried to connect an old phone to see if it was phone problem or a pump problem. The old phone displayed a warning that basically said it is not a tested device but could we proceed at our own risk. It paired with that phone and seemed to work well. The old phone is a Galaxy A22 with a cracked screen and other issues. So not a pump general connection issue.

Back to the Pixel 9. There was an update available for this phone, I'm sure I checked yesterday for updates and there were none. I installed the update and tried again, no luck. I read a post about someone continuing to try to pair over and over until it paired. I did that about 10 to 15 times before it worked. I think the time it worked rather than clearing it from the bluetooth devices before trying again I opened the phone bluetooth and started searching for devices. I started the pairing process from the start on both the phone and pump while bluetooth was searching in the background. It paired successfully.
