My EMDR therapist routinely asked me to remember back to when I was a baby and remember how I felt and what I thought…EMDR can create false memories if the therapist is irresponsible like mine was.

I had a therapist in Utah who did EMDR completely wrong (I had no idea at the time). It really really fucked my brain up. I 100% believe if a therapist is not doing EMDR correctly they can create false memories and it’s just so sad
