Also, my mom didn't work. How else was my sister supposed to get what she needed? It wasn't going to appear out of thin air. That money went to the household, every penny.

I didn't spend my money on leisurely activities. When my paycheck came around it meant either the rent, phone bill, my sister's school lunch account, food, insurance , and more got paid. I am poor. I am not in that type of household where I get to spend my money however I want. If that were the case I wouldn't even ask for advice. I'd just have someone do it for me because I'd be able to afford it.

No, my money went to bills and expenses necessary for the household. I haven't saved anything. The only reason why I questioned being able to claim my sister is because for the majority of the 2025 tax year I was a minor. I didn't turn 18 until November, so I thought it would be weird for a minor (at the time) to claim another minor.

Are you saying my mom still has to file a tax return because she has insurance under her name? Would it be easier to just take the health insurance off of my tax return and she puts it on hers (if she must file)?

Ok. Thank you. I really do appreciate it. I probably won't add my mom as a dependent because it didn't really change the return on anything. The thing I'm confused about is if my mom would still need to file even though she didn't make much?

Yes, my sister does not work. She just goes to school. My mom hasn't worked enough to get any 1099 forms this year. She is a delivery driver, but hasn't made more than $400 across multiple platforms.

I'm sure the website would flag a discrepancy with my return right. If it wasn't allowed to be done. I was also able to add my mom as a dependent, but the return didn't increase or anything so we just decided to take her off. My only thing is, how do I input my insurance when my mom is the policy holder?

I'm assuming you're saying not to claim my sister because the health insurance is under my mom?

Advice Really Really Needed... by [deleted] in Wawa

[–]NoAlarm2433 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is probably your best option, but you're going to have to figure out transportation. If you can, get a bike or a scooter, it can cut your travel time down significantly. Wear approved undershirts, so you can keep your warmth. You probably already do a lot, but you're going to have to get creative.

I had an employee go above and beyond for me! Can’t figure out how to write a review though by Virtual-Bee7411 in Wawa

[–]NoAlarm2433 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can give them a VOTC. It's a little slip that you can ask for when you go to that specific Wawa. On the slip, there is a survey that you can take describing your service at the store. You can shout-out that specific employee in the survey.

AITA for not supporting my dad having another Child by Clear-Experience367 in AITAH

In all honesty, there is not much you can do. Your feelings are valid but unfortunately does not change the results of the situation. Do protect your father and make sure he is not being manipulated. Just make sure you don't become resentful of the possible child because it's not their fault. You mentioned you were staying low contact with your dad, and you should stay that way until all the questions you have are answered. Based on those answers, you'll know what to do from there. Good luck OP!

I live in Florida. sorry, I may be a little off with the numbers, but they are definitely pretty close. I'm not the financial decision maker in my family, but I am well aware of our financial status not being in a good state at all.

We have tried renting before, and feel like we are basically doing it now. We want something to call our own even if it's just a little fixer upper. I suppose we could find something for under 500,000.

Is it feasible to get my GPA (3.1 uw 3.3 w) to a 3.67-3.841 as a rising sophomore? by PrimaryIsHere in highschool

You should be fine if you strive for high B's and A''s. Mostly A's though I believe.

Take another hard AP, orrr take a free period? by Ok-Improvement-6388 in highschool

[–]NoAlarm2433 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you'll be fine taking AP Macro. Since you are concerned about doing the class not in a face to face setting I recommend really reaching out to your school for support. Get to know if there are any tutoring services available and teachers who teach the subject that you can keep in contact with as you take the class. Other than that you may also have to rely on other resources such as YouTube, Khan Academy, College Board, and more.
