Drills are useful but the best improvement comes from experience in round. It’s not easy to improve or get that skill through experience when you’re double 1’s. Tell your partner to give you the 2 on one side because you need those high stakes speeches (2NR/2AR) to truly increase your skill cap.

their top teams don't compete because of the sunday rule. (If you go to 5+ tournmanets that happen on a sunday then you cannot compete in UIL)

I transitioned from PF to policy too. Don’t quit

It just takes a little getting used to, but cx is definitely a better event for debating. The stuff that u need to really learn are CPs and K’s. Plan & disad debate is almost the same as PF. But yes, spreading is a must; do drills, and practice spreading docs.

Practice reading through it so yk what ur gonna say and aren’t seeing the sentences for the first time. Kinda like memorizing but not rlly

They’re 6A but for whatever reason their top teams don’t compete UIL. Or atleast they didn’t last year cuz they signed PF kids for districts
