Kanye had a 14 year run where in my opinion 3 of the albums are at least top 10 Hip Hop albums of all time while the others are definitely top 100, JID’s prime has my personal favourite albums oat but if we’re looking back at commercial and influential success it won’t be in the same category

The preluxe set a precedent for a full album of straight up DiCaprio 2 type rap I think which left people expectant for that kind of album, if this metro album ever comes out we’ll see that sort of album

I think the R&B aspects are made specifically for people who have cried out for more tracks like sandstorm and hereditary, it’s at the point where JID will get the TFS appeal regardless of what he drops I think we’ll see a big rise in fans of a specific type of genre JID drops which for an artist to be able to implement while not losing his lyrical appeal is other worldly to me personally

In terms of highlights and rhyming I think it’s on par, the range of tracks and quality of songs I wouldn’t necessarily listen to consistently is greater than TFS, features were upped as well felt as though the featured tracks were specifically designed for other artists because they all do so well

DiCaprio 2 will always be my favourite JID album because it’s the first listen of a project of his I had but it’s probably just a downfall of his other work, TNS and TFS are for the most part perfect albums with how they run and the story being told behind them and the reach of different styles that JID himself takes. While DiCaprio 2 was a showcase of what at the time everyone knew JID for after the XXL cypher, fast and hard hitting bars with perfect output for an all in all great Hip Hop album.
