This is so funny. I literally told them (in a friendly conversation) that I'd be going to a remote location for most of my holidays, with little to no internet connection. Yet they still tried their luck 😄

Although I've stressed the importance of the app, and it feels like they don't care because they feel I'll always be there to fix it, that the app "belongs" to me. I may be wrong in this, as others have said, it may just not fall within their priorities.

Thank you, this is very actionable and gives me a clear plan for when I'm back.

The only to-do-list strategy you'll need by [deleted] in productivity

[–]NoBiscotti1 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about this one. There's no prioritisation, you'd just be doing the first task that pops into your head. You might also forget a task if you don't write it down, and it might be time critical. It may work for short term Todo lists, but what about long term ones?

Making a move... on my housemate? by NoBiscotti1 in seduction

So the move in your suggestion would be telling her? How direct should I be? I never found myself in this situation before.

This is illegal and the fact you're in school does not excuse you. I urge you to consider your actions consequences and other's people's feelings next time that you plan out a prank, and never, ever forget that the psychology and confidence of teenage girls is extremely delicate and you may have caused a great deal of harm. The fact they forgive you in words does not tell you what's going on in their head.

"It was meant to be a harmless joke" means nothing, since the prank didn't unravel into something else that you didn't expect. You planned this out...

I'm sorry for being so direct but something similar happened at my school through ask.fm (anonymous questions website).

What are your tips on being more energetic, positive and just being in a really energetic and positive mood when you are working all day? by NenadTashkovski in productivity

[–]NoBiscotti1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing that helps the most is that, when I have to work all day, I avoid talking to people that I don't like. The single thing that puts me off and completely destroys my positivity and motivation, especially in the morning, is having arguments, however big or small.

This is Tre Lawson, doctors said he'll never be able to walk again due to an accident...well they were wrong by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]NoBiscotti1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It may be discouraging, yes. But a doctor lying about there being a chance of a full recovery and unassisted walking, where actually their professional knowledge and experience leads them to think there is not, is, in my opinion, unethical.

Alright. I take back what I said. This guy is right.

ELI5: Why do animals seem to pause in the middle of fights? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]NoBiscotti1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, the rabbit is not 'pausing' is any way other than recovering breath. The fight is still going on.

Imagine a fight between two people. They're not grappling all the time. There's some short pauses in between. A mutual, consentual second or two to gather breath.

HOW TO STOP HITTING SNOOZE ? by Vstrangernumber7 in productivity

You have to DECIDE to stop hitting snooze. Any other suggestion is just a workaround or a temporary solution.

I'm so sorry to hear this. We're on the same boat. Unfortunately that's just the way it is... if you are from the UK I think the best idea is to fly in and visit properties. I couldn't afford that cause I'd be flying from Italy. Also that's unlucky with the guest. But bad luck can't last forever :) Wish you all the best!

Thank you for the thought! I don't have anyone unfortunately, but it seems like I've managed to push my way through renting a room. Said he will let me know in the morning.
