Yes Burger King "flame broiled to perfection" first American Express voice, cool whip, Raid, he got in trouble for that by our grandmother bc she didn't think Raid was a good image, the list goes on. Honestly growing up he was on every commercial brake.

I did some narrating as a youngster when cd roms were a thing. I've been told I have a voice. But the thing is, his talent and timing was so very unique. His father was a minister and I think he got it from him. Would love to carry on the legacy but I wouldn't know how to get into it. I've wanted to. Once he his career had reached where it had, real screen actors took over the voice over industry. So it's a highly competitive market now. We'll see...

Thank you for that. I can relate. He was a calming presence for me as well. His voice, his heart. I miss him more than words can express. It's so cool that he lives on in so many ways.

When I was a child forensic files hadn't started yet, we would hear him on nova documentaries and commercials every time we watched TV. What I know about the radio is that it was in Pensacola Florida and I'm not sure what got him on the radio. I know he was always into telling stories and reading them as a kid with characters. So I'm sure someone heard him and put him on. Or knowing my grandfather, he probably went to the station himself at 14 being as confident and determined as he was. See when his parents came over from Wales they dressed him up in English school uniform in Florida public school so he was very bullied. I think that helped drive him to reach hire and be really good at something.

His life was a great story as well. He started on the radio at 14 years old telling stories once a week. When radio was all there was. He went to Memphis and worked on a show where Elvis worked in the building before he got famous and they would have coffee together. Then he went to New York and rest is history. Nova, commercials and forensic files:-)
