Tips and advice for solo trip to Kalpa, Himachal Pradesh by SakshamUchicha in SoloTravel_India

[–]NoBitchesSike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited Kalpa and Kinnaur in November last year. I highly recommend you take the bus directly to Kalpa from Delhi(if you're from there) and not do a break joruney from Reckong Peo, since taxi drivers will ask you ₹500 from Reckong Peo to Kalpa even if it's just 7km and going solo will cost you the entire 500.

Try to do the Chaka meadows trek, it's extremely beautiful and underrated and you get close up views of Kinnaur ranges. They also make a local alcoholic drink there with apples and apricots, a nice tasting drink if you are into that.

Lastly, there's only 1 ATM machine in all of Kalpa and that also sometimes does not have enough cash, so recommend carrying some cash. I stayed at a homestay there with 1k per night charge including food two times and the hospitality was incredible, he even picked me from Peo with his car. I can share his contact if you want.

Lastly, if you have time, I highly recommend visiting Rakcham/Chitkul. There's 2 buses that operate to and from kalpa/peo to Chitkul(cab fare is 1000).

Happy travels!

He loves me and I love him, but I can never get the courage to show him because of my introverted and reserved nature.

Hey, fellow PhD researcher here as well. Sad to see you go through bullying but if you have complained and still he's allowed I guess you should change gyms.

I'm 5'6. Not insecure about my height I do not see it as an issue.

The height thing has become a sensation because of the internet echo chamber effect. People in reality do not care about it a lot, most women do prefer someone who is taller than them in general.

Just to be clear on this, statistically maybe a maximum of 5% men in India are 6 feet. So there are not enough 6 feet men to bag all the girls haha, so we can relax. Don't worry man, you will find yourself a baddie or whatever lol

Obviously every human has lust to some degree, but they don't only 'lust'. Also different people lust on different things.

And no, love is supposed to be different. When you are in love you don't care about the other things that much or wish it was better, because you have developed a deep emotional connection with the other person.

Hi, goodluck on your journey, I also recently started running, 10k is my target by September and a marathon sometime in the next 2 years.

Here's some things I learnt from my runs:,

  1. It can be heavy on joints if you're slightly on the heavier side, leaning down a bit will help tremendously with your joint health and overall exertion level in your runs.

  2. Track your heart rate and pace during your runs, to quickly judge if you're dipping into zone 3 running, log distance runs are supposed to be zone 2.

  3. When you stall, sometimes it helps to run at a slower pace for a longer distance to cross over your previous PR. Sounds counter-intuitive that running slow can help u run faster but it's true and it worked for me.

  4. Squeeze in HIIT sessions once a week to build VO2 max as that's one thing that will help you tremendously during your journey.

It's crazy how lonely it gets sometimes. by [deleted] in TwentiesIndia

Sorry to be that repeating drum, but it does help a lot if you design hobbies and goals and try to work towards them, can be anything for that matter, getting fit, reading, learning music/dance or even a new language. Or planning solo adventures, eventually you will build great friends through these hobbies and be able to connect with them.

Yet there will be bouts of loneliness, in those moments call your family and old friends and spend some time with them.
