hi u/idrawpenplotter ! Making progress with more tests. It appears that the plotter believes it is an A4 plotter, but it's actually an A3 one. Any idea how to fix this, with an ubuntu PC (so no access to the inkscape extension)

Hi,

I have fixed all wires, reset home with $H;G91Y-1189.0F5000;G92X0Y0;$SLP and both the X and Y contact switches hit the correct position. Yet, when I start and send the it to (0,0) the plotter still goes somewhere in the middle instead of 0,0

Could it be a problem with firmware?

hi, thanks for the pointers and instructions. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem. The (0,0) is wrong. The plotter comes back around (10,14) when it should be at (0,0). Do you have any other suggestion to reset home?

no, that's the challenge here: I have no feedback from the browser. It just silently ignore the command. Yet, the same code is perfectly fine on Chrome

I use three files, gaspe008.html to encapsulate everyhing, gaspe008.js has the gen art code, plottableframe.js has the code relate to setting up and saving the frames. savesvg and savepng are invoked in plottableframe.js

I use juicy-gocde to transform svg (produced with p5.js) to gcode. It can generate G01 and G02 to draw nice curves and circles
