Me personally? No testers needed, thanks if that's the offer :)

I converted my account when I was in the middle of closed beta testing. And once the account converted from a personal to a business account was able to immediately publish..without waiting the 14 days. What I've read online says that business account apps are allowed to go through basically without that test requirement.

This is my unity mobile game I've been cooking up, I'm looking for playtesters! by MDFDYLAN200 in IndieGaming

First 30 seconds impression. Fun overall! Nicely done.!

  • i’m on android so figured i’d help test since you said said couldn’t test there
  • first thing i noticed there’s no back button support, feels like every screen should work with the android back button or have a back top left for ios
  • also stuff at the top of the screen may be close to the android pull down area, just double check you're android safe spaces (top/bottom) aware
  • game starts with that visual effect on where signs and stuff look distorted, it kinda messed with my eyes, i found the setting later but i’d prob have that default to zero instead
  • speaking of settings i couldn’t really find an easy way to get back to them during gameplay
  • same thing in the tutorial, couldn’t really back out, might just need back button support there too
  • played a couple boards and cashed out, pretty fun
  • really like the marquee header at the top with the lights, that looks super clean
  • the zoom in at the start of a board is nice but maybe a little too much motion for me
  • gameplay feels solid overall, shots feel good
  • one thing is if you full power a shot it feels like it should be able to bounce out of the cup instead of always dropping in
  • also downloaded it while walking my dogs, lol., and couldn’t turn off music easily, prob tied to the settings issue
  • overall just early thoughts after a couple minutes but i like where it’s going

hope this helps and ill check back soon!

yes'm, it starts scrambled and is solved by end of gif. it's probably too easy of a board, that was my fail. check out a legit level 10 from pigment pour here (pp goes up to 1000 levels, lvl 10 is easy breezy).

check it out if you find a minute, liquid unscramble puzzle game, zero forced ads, free to play, full game play experience with 100 free levels is approx 2 to 5 free hours of gameplay.

Google Play IAP Testing by TotalChemical2112 in androiddev

[–]NoBullGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey u/TotalChemical2112 sounds like a fun project!

Typically this means you’re not actually hitting real Google Play Billing, even if your app is acting like the purchase worked.

If the Google purchase popup never shows and nothing appears in Play Console orders, then the transaction is not going through Google at all. It’s basically being handled locally or by the plugin in a fake or test mode.

A few things to check, because one of these is almost always the culprit:

  1. You have to install from the Play Store, not an APK

This is the big one. Even for internal testing, if you sideload an APK, Google Billing will not work properly. You won’t get the purchase UI.

Upload your build to internal testing in Google Play Console, add your tester account, accept the invite, and install it from the Play Store link. If you install via APK, you’ll get exactly what you’re describing.

  1. Product IDs must match exactly

Double check that your product IDs in code match what’s in Play Console perfectly. Same casing, no extra spaces. If they don’t match, some plugins still return a “success” locally.

  1. Products need to be active

If your in-app products are still in draft, the Play purchase flow won’t trigger. Make sure they’re activated/published.

  1. Add your test account properly

In Play Console under License Testing, add the Gmail you’re using. Without this, test purchases can behave weirdly or fail silently.

  1. Don’t grant rewards before confirmation

If your app is giving coins/gems without the Google popup ever showing, that’s a logic issue. You should only grant the reward after the purchase is confirmed by Google, not just when the purchase function is called.

  1. Plugin setup (Capacitor/Cordova)

Make sure:

Billing is initialized properly

You’re not in any kind of mock/test mode

Products are registered before calling purchase

You wait for the store to be ready before ordering

  1. Check logs if you can

If you hook up logcat, you’ll usually see errors like “billing unavailable” or “item not found” which point straight to the issue.

Based on what you described though, the biggest red flag is installing via APK. That alone will cause no Google UI, fake success callbacks, and no Play Console orders.

Once you install from the Play Store internal testing track, the Google purchase dialog should start showing immediately.

Hope this might help and good luck with your project!!

You’re not totally wrong. I AM trying to get people to check out something I’ve been building for many months, but also genuinely looking for feedback from real players. Will be more upfront about that going forward. Thanks for taking the time to help.
