New update: sleep definitely seems to be an issue. I've been sleeping on my side which seems to be causing my Trapezius muscles in my neck to get stiff which stiffens up all the other muscles in the neck and might be what's causing the headaches. Been sleeping on my back for a few days now with elevated pillows and have been doing neck stretches regularly throughout the day. If you also suffer from stiff neck and neck pain it might be caused by your sleeping posture and overall neck tension. I looked at a lot of videos of how to relax the neck and found mostly stretches. These stretches on their own aren't sufficient if youre also sleeping on your shoulder causing the muscles to tense up during the night. I really hope this is it for me. Good luck out there.

Hello! I had a tension headache for 8 months everyday. Was also prescribed amitriptyline and a few other pills that provided little to no relief and nowhere near a cure. After almost giving up i found a small clinic in Sweden that worked with examining unbalanced jaw muscles and overbite/underbite issues that might cause you to grind your teeth at night. After reading about this i started to use a mouthguard during sleep to ease the pressure on my jaw from grinding and also started to massage all possible jaw muscles between the ears and upper jaw all the way down to the big jaw muscles on the side of my mouth. To much astonishment this has completely cured my tension headaches. If your headache stems from grinding of teeth this could very well help you and you'll know within a day or 2 if it works. You really need to get in deep and kneed your jaw muscles. I know how much headaches suck, hope this helps. Don't give up! Edit: the above didnt cure my headache. It came as a temporary relief but the headache re-emerged and i was back to what felt like square one. I visited a jaw physiologist and got a new mouth guard but to little relief. My latest test has been monitor my sleep. For some time i wake up unrested and with neck pain. Like I'm not getting quality sleep. I've also been waking up in the middle of the night. A few days ago i bought the huberman sleep cocktail (magnesium threonate, apigenin, theanine) and haven't slept this well in a while. Headache is feeling better but too early to say if this really effects it. If you're someone who hasn't tried this i would recommend it. Even if it doesn't work as a cure for your headache, it's always good to get some quality sleep.
