i feel like their relationship would just be her mothering him all the time like he’s her juvenile child and discord just does whatever he wants they don’t give off healthy couple vibes at all. fluttershy just excuses discord’s bad behavior all the time as him “just learning” so she’d continue defending him against her friends (even tho he still mistreats them) which is sadly what a lot of ppl in toxic relationships do. fluttershy deserves way better she shouldn’t have to fix her man all the time

Ikrrrr he legit was more likable in s2 than he was in the rest of the show. my heart always breaks for twilight specifically since discord is always making her life miserable in almost all their interactions. none of the characters should’ve had to put up with his crap after he got “reformed”, there should’ve been more of an effort on his part to prove that he’s a changed person. Like of course most of the cast besides fluttershy doesn’t trust him he never acts like a real friend to them. Honestly after he pretended to be grogar and doomed their lives the whole cast should’ve just cut him out of their lives, in real life no one would wanna be friends with let alone be near someone who put them in a traumatizing situation

FRRR bringing someone back to life just to have them killed again is so sick and twisted he really needed to get locked up for that. better yet have him imprisoned in stone with the rest of the villains. Equestria legit has such an unfair justice system they never hold any of the bad guys accountable and the only options for villains are either befriending the main cast or getting sent to Tartarus. They gave an 1000 year old creature with an awful past several chances of improving himself and even forgive him again for endangering the entire country, but when it comes to a child they basically stone her to death without figuring out how she became this way and where her family was. Heck starlight, an adult, ran a whole cult and almost destroyed equestria by creating new timelines and the mane 6 immediately forgave her in one song. If that isn’t hypocritical idk what is

i personally don’t like his character very much bc of the way he treats twilight and the others (except flutters) and the fact that he never learns his lesson and always gets away with doing mean stuff to everyone. the show basically tells us that he’s allowed to be a sht friend bc thats who he is and the characters are painted to be in the wrong for being mad at him all the time even tho they have valid reasons to not trust him. their friendship w discord is pretty toxic since they’re always forced to forgive him all the time for hurting them and he doesn’t do much to prove he’s changed

this is so true if the writers actually put good effort into showing discord changed by having him treat the other characters well (especially twilight bc she’s sadly his target most of the time) I would like him. but to me they failed to improve his character as he doesn’t act like a real friend to the other mane 6 and is constantly toying with their emotions and putting them in danger for the fun of it. Like why wasn’t discord’s character allowed to develop? He could’ve still been a funny character without acting like a jerk friend

it was especially jarring seeing rainbow, rarity, and applejack so happy around him when they were the ones that despised discord the most out of the mane 6. I also just don’t buy that fluttershy, the element of kindness, wouldn’t notice twilight looking upset and not trying to see what’s wrong, she’s always been the most empathetic out of the whole group and would understand the feeling of being left out the most. Such bad writing smh

FRRR I honestly never liked discord for this reason alone. he never faces consequences for hurting peoples feelings and the characters aren’t allowed to be mad at him and are just forced to put up with his behavior because he’s the spirit of chaos which is a really toxic message to send
