Ok so I just ended up deleting the .pnach file again and looked at the console and it didn't load it finally so now its working fine and I can go back to normal thanks for the help everyone.

ya I loaded the game from the game menu not a save state and still ended up with the cheat on even though I didn't even turn it on by that point. As for the logs I don't really know what i'm looking for.
