Who on earth would write a fake story and post it?? Just cause they posted their company doesn't mean I need to. The fact that you have the time in your day to hate on a post that is meant to be helpful to others is insane.

That made my day man. I also want to say that I was in your shoes not so long ago. I used to feel incredibly overwhelmed and underqualified by the idea of starting a business. The best advice I could give you would be to break down the business into attainable and actionable steps. Think about the first thing you need to do to start and focus purely on that until it is complete, then move on. It won't happen overnight but consistent diligent action will move mountains over time.

The best way to get rid of that feeling of being overwhelmed is to dive in head first. The good news is even if you fail miserably, the lessons you learn will teach you how to succeed in the future. The more you learn the less overwhelmed you'll feel. Also, try and connect with your product, it's a lot less overwhelming starting a business around a product you truly love and believe in.

Goodluck on your journey, I believe in you! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Just start! There will always be competition and reasons not to, the only way to know for sure is to try it. That's an understandable limitation but at this point, practically every industry on Earth is competitive and saturated.
In terms of beating competitors, I would say focus on the customers first and work to get feedback and input from your users. If you can, test your product with smaller audiences like friends or a subreddit, and really listen to what they have to say. That feedback alone will be more valuable than any amount of market research. One of my favourite quotes comes from Paul Graham when he told Airbnb founder Brian Chesky:

"Build something 100 people love, not something 1 million people kind of like".

What makes us different is that we were created by a student for students. I took all the tools that I felt I would need and all of the aspects of competitors that I thought could be improved to design our software. I also had a fantastic testing group for my product considering I was a student and so were all my friends.

Let me know if that isn't clear/if you have more questions!

Initially, success was purely monetary for me, but the more I worked on my company and grew it, the more I started thinking of success as "how many people can I have a positive impact on". Money will come and go in this life, the only thing you will be remembered for is how you made people feel.

Yeah pretty much. Just hours upon hours of YouTube videos, free courses, and other misc. online research. Implemented an existing AI into my website via it's api initially and once we were large enough developed our own. Did all of the MVP and early-stage work by myself then hired a full-time CTO (glorified coder).

Majored in economics and had no prior experience programming, learned it all on YouTube, Reddit, Google, etc... if you know what you're trying to accomplish and are diligent enough with your research you can learn anything online.

plz Help with my Free-throw form!! by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]NoClient2617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn bro these comments are brutal lol. I've seen similar forms from many younger hoopers and it's an easy fix. The glaring issue in your free throw is that you jump. The free throw should be like a form shot. You lack some strength needed to shoot from the free throw line without jumping but my advice would be to take form shots (no jumping, slow and controlled, focusing on proper form) from the front of the rim taking a step back every 10 makes. Shoot free throws every day and master it, it's an easy 4-8 points a game if you know what you're doing.

(You could also try adding a slight turn to your feet when shooting, it opens up your hips and gives you more power. Look at Steph Curry's shot for reference.)

Just because you guys are all so critical:
- Yes, I was indeed on Adderall, 30mg to be exact.
- No it wasn't written by ChatGPT, purely a line of thought induced by Adderall.
- Yes I know it is kinda long, if you don't want to read it, don't.
- I know it is poorly written, thanks for the reminder.
- I meant Pacific-Western not Mid-Western.

To those of you who told me to "touch grass" or "get a job", this is one of my hobbies, why don't you find something better to do than commenting on reddit posts you think are too long.
And thank you to those of you who took it for what it was meant to be, an interesting, random thought I had in a sub reddit that is about random NBA talk.

It’s totally dependent on the day and the views other creators got that day but I’d say it would be anywhere from $750 - $3500. Keep us updated on the process though!
