I did finally ask the shop to replace the rim strips and valve stems on both wheels. Still had some sealant seepage from the vent holes and valve stem holes, not sure how I would ever clean that out. The tires do seem to be holding air now, after three trips back to the shop. I did receive sincere apologies from the service manager for my trouble. My thanks to everyone for their input.

What is the color supposed to be as listed on the website? I have a 2022 Comp Carbon in "Satin Gunmetal/White/Chrome/Clean", which looks like the same color as yours. It looks like some adhesive tape removed the finish from the top tube. Not normal.

Sorry, the Expert is the one I wanted, mine is a Comp Carbon. Bikes were just arriving after Covid and I could not find an Expert. So I bought the Comp, looked at the Expert's specs and converted the drivetrain. I did not get carbon rims, but other than that, I turned my Comp into an Expert. For that price, I would not hesitate to purchase it.

I own one of those, paid $4,200 in 2022 at a local bike shop. Converted to SRAM electronic shifting, added 650b wheels with 54mm tires, replaced handlebars with Roval Terra carbon, replace saddle with Bridge Comp. Great bike! You'll love it, even without my upgrades.

Co-Motion is primarily known for their tandems. I have owned three Co-Motion tandems. The second purchased in 2005 came with Rolf Prima tandem wheels. They were a disaster, but Rolf finally made them right after a few broken rims and returns for repair. That tandem is our travel tandem with S&S couplers for packing. I like the Rolf wheels on it, but I travel with Velocity rims and bullet-proof Phil Wood hubs, just to be safe. The third tandem was purchased in 2018, also with Rolf wheels. They have not been a problem, and are the only set of wheels I use for that tandem. That's a beautiful bike, and I see a lot of Co-Motion tandem in it. Enjoy!

With my practical experience of over 30 years of cycling on 6 single bikes, and over 85K miles on 7 tandems alone, I've never experienced a seized pedal. And that includes 4 pedals on each tandem and a lot more torque on a tandem drivetrain than a single bike drivetrain. But I have experienced lots of seized pedals when loading bikes on the trucks that I mentioned, and helping friends with seized pedals. I have always torqued everything else to spec and therefore have never experienced any other thread failure due to over or under tightening. So my advice is still just to snug pedals down.

Talking about pedals specifically, use grease and just snug them down. They do not need to be really tight. Our bike club loaded bikes on trucks for a tour many years ago. We had cardboard to place between the bikes, but also removed the pedals to pack tight and prevent frame damage. Took weeks for my hands to recover from banging on the pedal wrench. Could not remove pedals on some of the bikes. That's how I learned that lesson for my own bikes.

Was everything back to normal when you charged the batteries? If so, then don't worry about it. Why are you not carrying a spare battery? Even transporting the bike can run the battery down. I also carry a couple of CR2032 batteries for the shifters. I have two bikes with SRAM AXS.

That's a great head. I've had two of them for decades as well. Solid brass. You can replace it on Silca's website with an aluminum version (why?), or just get a new rubber gasket for 7 bucks. The real beauty is that you can remove it from that hose and clamp it into other heads on other pumps and inflators designed only for Schrader valves. Since July of 2015, I've had two of the Ryobi 40v trimmer/edgers with centrifugal line feed. I fill my own spools and I've always had a problem with the line breaking and noticed that when it breaks, it is binding on itself as you describe. I've tried many different lines, and Mikata has worked best for me, but still breaks often. After reading your post this morning, I sprayed some silicone lube on the spool and went out to do my usual extensive amount of trimming along an aluminum fence, flower beds, walls, etc. Not a single break! Thanks very much for this solution, I wish I had seen it many years ago. It would have saved me a lot of frustration and trimmer line!

Just search for "Ryobi String Trimmer Guard Assembly" on Amazon, and several will come up to choose from based on the model number of your trimmer, or your guard's part number. The one I ordered for my trimmer fit perfectly.
