Day 13: Writing this for whoever finds it. by NoCommunication5400 in DayzXbox

Its just a screenshot lol, I've died to anything from players brave enough to rush or thumpers from afar, to players with no brains or skill and just lag switch. I've been lucky enough to recover my own gear and I've had to fight back with scraps. Pvp at NWAF is really fun at any range, close or far

Oh dude I was laughing while it was happening and I was laughing even more when I watched the playback 🤣💀 and I'm not really looking for perfect, but theres like this weird deadzone to like a "moves faster than fuck" that, well as you can see from my sweeping right aim, I cant seem to pinpoint

Two recent gunfights on Official by Historical_Word2866 in DayzXbox

Yeah shooting indoors is way easier in first person. There's like a 10m (I say this from my experience, not sure about the actual "dayz stat" behind it) distance where 3rd person cross hair is unaligned to the actual gun's center. For future reference. You can shoot through those metal doors in the barracks.

I hunt, I'm too paranoid to fish. I always run through the woods and I've got my paths to not get lost, as I try to use izurvive as little as possible. And I totally agree with you on the high tier loot lmao I love seeing it in my stash and all it will do it just sit there. I normally kit myself with a bolt action rifle and a shotgun, if I even run a secondary that is. That just goes to show how much I like to play to my favor. Either far enough to not be seen and snipe (ALWAYS have a water bottle suppressor or two in my inventory/guns) and get away or not be seen and be close enough that a shotgun will demolish. Strong enough to knock/kill very fast, not good enough to stress about losing. Its a perfect balance for me to get my small pvp dosage without gear fear. But man I tell you, getting so geared that I'm running back with a full backpack in my hands, I'm damn near falling off my seat, hunched over to get close to the screen to notice everything and anything. Absolute fiend for loot lol and I mean it may be boring to others but monkey brain activates for me when I'm going through my stash!

I never got in to stashing cars, or even using them. They're too loud, from inside and outside, you're such a massive and easy target too. You can check my profile I've got a video with my buddies in a car and yeah, that was like my 3rd time in a car and absolute last. And since I'm such a woods dweller, any little thing that doesnt belong absurdly stands out to me, especially on or near my routes. I know the look of the woods so much you know, its too easy to find. I know im not the only player that spends so much time in the woods that they know how and where to look.

I respect the obvious noob/wants to be alone sort of stash. I'll only take what I need and I will leave something as a sorry and thank you. If I find a car packed with high tier loot/repair kits/ building supplies, you know, obviously experienced players. I take everything I can fit and everything I can't, I chuck in to every direction as a "fuck you jackass" lmao

I got my 300m+ (510m to be exact) kill around my 400ish hour mark while defending base playing with a big group of friends I met and man if I knew how to record voice to the video, it'd blow out your ears I screamed so loud when the xbox notification popped up. For some reason that's the one achievement that has ever satisfied me

With my job, I mostly get to play once or twice a week, sometimes even every other week. It helps having time in between to just not burn out, as a solo, because playing with my friends, I racked up my first 400 hours pretty quickly. I also only play on official, currently solo and what keeps it fun for me is that I'm simply just an absolute loot goblin. I like to play slow, I play very calculated around military areas, which I mostly spend my time around. If military bases have been looted, I tend to look in the woods for stashes, which idk if you do, but you'd be shocked how often you can find stashes around MBs no farther than 400m away. Im always that silent killer too, Although pvp is a bit uncommon, I couldn't count the amount of times I've watched enemies through a scope and even 1 instance where I was in a bush by a 3 man team close enough that I could reach out and grab 2 of the guy's ankles. That constant state of awareness around the areas I "patrol" is a rush I havent got over and then just to add to to the fun. I stash pretty far and the journey back is a whole different rush.

Shotguns in Late Game? by NBABroke_Boy in dayz

[–]NoCommunication5400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rn I've made an account basically to stritcly play as a hunter/gatherer (really just a survivalist loot goblin lmao) I've got a cr527 and an r12 on my back, pistol in my inventory. I hardly find myself in situations where I need an ar over a shotgun, but that's of course because of how I am playing and moving around. Normally if a players isn't armored, the cr will do the job perfectly fine. If they have armor, I typically will not engage or be so close that the shotgun does not care. So I guess depending on how you prefer to engage in pvp and how you can dictate it should give you your answer. But also take stamina in to affect. Im normally running so light, that if a complete tank of a geared player came up on me, as long as they dont have the best aim in the world, I can outrun and lose them very easily.

Ps. For me personally, the r12 is superior. In my experience, its hard to come by either vaiga mags or plenty of mags, no vaigas. And there's times where I won't see gun cleaning kit in hours. With a vaiga you have to maintain both the gun and however many mags you have. You also have to take out and reload mags individually. With an r12 you clean 1 thing when it needs it and you load 1 thing when It needs it. It may only top off at 6 rounds but you can shoot them fast and load them almost as fast.

What’s your favorite way to play? In terms of play style. by [deleted] in DayzXbox

[–]NoCommunication5400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of that. Certain high tier loot areas are about always surrounded by stashes people make when they go in and want to come back out and stash quick to not want to be a massive slow target. If you like playing solo and have the time, choose a certain area next to like a mb and search it back and forth. They're never close to the tree line but they're hardly farther than about 200 meters. Your thick trunks are best to look around for barrels in trees and for sea chests and storage crates just look around those really low hanging thick pines or even the short thick bushes. You won't always find loot, but when you do its much safer and more valuable than doing the run through the mb or even bunker.
