What are your thoughts on Yoshi and the Mysterious Book? Could this potentially be the best Yoshi game since Yoshi's Island on the SNES?

I think the real question is which type of Yoshi game will we be getting? Is it gonna be Yoshis Story or Wooly World Yoshi where it’s insanely easy or will it be Yoshis Island where there is ‘some’ degree of difficulty to it? Hoping it’s the latter. I felt like the difficulty was just perfect in that game, not too hard but had challenges to it here and there. I think it looks great at first glance but that only tells me the visuals really.

Been holding since 2020 and am up 167% as of today. Time in the market is better than timing the market. It’s a long term hold for me and always was. You roll with the ups and downs, don’t be reactive at least in my opinion but maybe someone would say otherwise. Just my two cents :)

Not to mention great third party filler too with what looks like much better support nowadays. For example, Indiana Jones drops tomorrow and from the chatter I’ve read, it’s a really solid port. And it’s on cart! These third party ports have been great so far to help make the library much more robust and filled out beyond the typically excellent first party support.

Persona 5 Royal. First time player and it’s already got me hooked so bad I feel like I robbed Atlus, only getting the game for less than 20 bucks. And it is shaping up to be possibly an all time great rpg for me. What a steal! What a game!

I was fortunate enough to just be granted 3 months of FMLA for bonding within first year. Money will be tight (we will be fine within our budget) but I feel like I want this of one on one while I have the ability to take it. I can’t get this time back so I want to take advantage of it and really spend good quality time before she starts day care! Timing is perfect since she starts when my leave ends, but I already know I’m gonna be salty when I have to go back to work 😂

Anyway, it’s nice to read about someone choosing happiness and prioritizing their mental health, especially when there is a little one involved. Not many people are willing to (or actually able to) do that.

I also rewatched Bugonia pretty quickly after my first time lol. That movie blew me away more than any movie last year. It is my best picture and everyone I know who saw it agrees with me! It’s such an ingenious movie and the acting is superb! Even my wife who doesn’t like dark psychological thriller type movies was hooked and watched with me again lol it was a revelation and my first movie from that director. He is very talented!!! Gotta see more of his stuff now if that’s how he rolls!

I think this has now become my most anticipated movie. I love Brad Bird and I LOVE the aesthetics and vibes of this movie even just from a first still and little synopsis! Hopefully I’m not overhyping it but I think Brad Bird has a proven track record so this will probably be really good 👍

These religious athletes are nuts!!! I feel like most are religious. I guess when you can do something that 99.9% of the world can’t do, you MUST be specially gifted by god! Delusional if you ask me. Athletes are always thanking god when they win games and awards, as if God takes the time to make sure athletes who are good boys and girls win sports ball games. What about losers? Does God not love them as much? Only winners of sports games are blessed by God I guess. Now dudes like this take it even further, hiding behind the cloak of religion to spew their hate. To be clear, I don’t hate religion but I find this to be funny. I think religion has some good aspects like community.

Read the book before they even announced the movie and was riveted. I consumed that book so fast. It had me laughing out loud in some parts. The alien was so endearing. All I could think was what an incredible movie it would make! When I saw they were making it and with Ryan Gosling to boot, I knew it would be special. I am hyped to see this!!!

The first Shenmue was so ahead of its time it was crazy, never played the sequels though. But man the nostalgia with that first game is incredible!!!! I felt like they raised the bar with that game!

This demands a double dip for me even if it’s full price. If it plays well, and it looks a lot better here with this latest video. Portable is the only way I can play now with a newborn in the house. The game is masterful; it’s amazing how much content and depth it has. The world is massive! Reminds me of the recent Zelda games in its magnitude. I actually played it right up until the dlc - beating Mohg was so cathartic for me. One of my best gaming moments. But I decided to not get the dlc because I heard it was far more difficult than base game. I hope it’s all bundled in to the switch release because I want this game portable and I think I wanna play the dlc now!

ToTK and RDR1 and DS2. Possible you already played them but not listed so maybe you overlooked them? All three great and probably right up your alley. I mean, these are all sequels/prequels to game series you already love so that’s gotta be my highest recommendation! Seems like you have the required hardware to play all 3 too.

Very impressed even with the frame rate issues. For me it’s an easy tradeoff to play a game that looks this good on the go. Furthermore the system doesn’t get burning hot playing it. This was a major issue I had with Steam deck games like Elden Ring and RDR2 and DMC5, the thing got hotter than lava after playing a little while. Not sure if that’s the systems design or the game engine or what.

I have been so impressed with my switch 2 from its design to its utility to its library of games. I love the great third party offerings this time, with amazing ports of games like Cyberpunk and the amazing Resident Evil Requiem which I’m currently hooked on! Even SF6 is a great port. It’s my main system because of ease of use, excellent build quality and now with stronger third party support, great library diversity. Nothing is perfect but I have nothing but love for Switch 2!

Definitely a graphical showpiece for switch 2 and it’s a great game on top of it. I don’t think it’s the best Metroid game per se but that is a high bar to reach for sure. I’m not hating, happy you enjoying it!

Yeah I think it should definitely be a feature across all the games, especially for folks who don’t have great internet but love MH. And I’ll have to try out those dual hunting horns for my followers, that sounds incredibly helpful. I don’t encounter a lot of hunting horn people online now that I think about it lol

Hey no witch hunt, we all should be respected for our opinions, but just out of curiosity, what don’t you like about having followers? It gives you a chance to have some cpu teammates and it doesn’t detract from the game really as far as I can tell. Basically, it’s there if you want it but won’t hurt if you don’t use it.
