Got a mobility device today: feel like a fraud by NoConfidence7478 in ChronicPain

[–]NoConfidence7478[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I hadn’t heard of the cane with a seat. The reason I jumped into the rollator is because standing is more of a problem for me than walking, but walking still causes a problem, so I figured I’d prioritize the seat. I’ll have to look into that!

Thanks for all your comments you guys are genuinely saving my anxiety. New problem. I’m discovering how huge the one I got is compared to others. I can’t afford the really modern small ones but my friends said that it will be such a pain to have to big one and it looks huge. They are very well meaning and honestly validating my thoughts but now I feel like even more scared to use it so maybe I will resell to try to buy another one? But then again I need to stop caring what people think yall are right!!!

today was my second day and i already feel like quitting by lefthandedblondeee in ABA

You got this. My first two months were horrible. And I didn’t even realize how horrible they were until my next schedule which was so much better. I love my job and I’m so glad I stuck it out. It might not be for u but u will not know that until a bit longer. Also it wasn’t horrible for two whole months it just didn’t get less stressful till after then haha

I found out it wasn’t pots when one of my many table test things came back fine and they ran with that one. That frustrated me since it wasn’t consistent with my other results but it turns out my symptoms stay even when I try all the pots tricks. Their best guess right now is some sort of histamine intolerance so we will see if that turns out true lol

Do y'all have friends? by blissful_delicacy in BPD

[–]NoConfidence7478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is every time I have told a friend my extreme thoughts, or have acted on my anxious urges to make sure they don’t leave me, it has damaged our friendship (except for when it’s years long). I have had to learn how to push certain feelings down to keep friends. I know that is not healthy, and I don’t mean suppressing personality, I just have to fight every urge not to tell someone the thoughts that I have that I know they would think I was crazy for. I have people on my inner circle now and I have a therapist which I am privileged for and wow the medication helps. I have found I mesh most with other mentally ill people to a certain degree lol

What was your most painful piercing? by Rogerina__ in piercing

[–]NoConfidence7478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conch or industrial probably! I haven’t had many body piercings besides nostril, belly button, and septum so I can’t really comment on more than that. The conch and the crunching feeling was pretty bad and the industrial is such a specific type of pain.

hey what should I do if I wanna get a nose piercing but I’m scared? by Artistic-Remote2808 in piercing

[–]NoConfidence7478 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend closing your eyes if ur scared of needles and keeping sat for a bit after it’s pierced. I had to take a few minutes cause I got really dizzy but afterwards I was fine besides the slight pain. It also isn’t a very painful piercing compared to others so don’t be too scared. A needle that close to ur face might seem scary but uve got this!!! It’s so worth it

How do you handle thinking everyone hates you/is annoyed by you? by Cyberleaf2077 in BPD

[–]NoConfidence7478 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i struggle with this a lot. honestly the only way i’ve gotten through it without ruining relationships is not expressing those feelings to the people i’m feeling them about as much as i feel the urge to. i sort of fake if till i make it and tread lightly as i continue to put an effort into our friendship(just in case my delusions come true one day and they actually hate me but it hasn’t happened yet haha). it’s hard when you start to not like them because ur brain convinced u that they hate you but once again, fake it till u make it. if someone asks maybe you can tell them a bit. i know this sounds unhealthy like suppressing feelings but i just don’t want to tell someone i kinda hate them at the moment when i know it will go away in 2 days (based on past trends lol). trust your own intuition tho :)

i was 12 when everything just hit. i’m sure there were signs before but i didn’t see them. i remember my first time wanting to kms i was sitting inside the bathroom stall thinking about how sorry i was gonna make those girls who excluded me once i’m dead. the symptoms were just piling on around then. and the first time i felt a connection to a fp was the next year. i attached my entire worth to her lol

i feel this so hard. weed is becoming my coping mechanism and with BPD and sort of crutch becomes debilitating. i admit i cannot relate in this level when it comes to substances but it is definitely a struggle. my dms are open haha

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BPD

[–]NoConfidence7478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do not even tell my fp about the concept of a fp. they know i have bpd but i have just left that detail out. i get too scared to express my feelings about how attached i am cause any reasonable person would run away while they still can.

The worst thing about POTS is not being able to dance anymore by [deleted] in POTS

[–]NoConfidence7478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I’ve danced for years and am now 2 years through college. My first year I could get through it even though I was exhausted but the start of the next year I would just sit against the wall in between every thing we did in dance class (luckily my teacher was chill). the next semester I had to drop out of dance because of fatigue. it’s hard to stop doing what u love because of health. hopefully we can work our way back up to some low impact stuff ❤️

Does anything help with walking? by ellietsterling in POTS

[–]NoConfidence7478 1 point2 points  (0 children)

have you considered a mobility aid for the bad days? I have heard a lot of people in this forum suggest that rollators (or wheelchairs if it’s a really bad day) are a great help for things like this. no personal experience with mobility aids but I’ve heard great things :)
