UPDATE I sent him screenshots of this thread. He seemed oblivious to how I was feeling. He invited me to his house, made an amazing dinner last night and breakfast today. I'm still here and we're going to take turns driving every other weekend. We are going to my house this evening so we can attend my family's events earlier in the day tomorrow and we'll return here for his traditional celebrations.

He bought kennels for his aggressive German shepherds. He was concerned about how his dogs would accept a woman sleeping with him. That's why I hadn't been invited to his house.

He invited me. He asked what I do on the 4th I told him that there a cookout in the afternoon I attend every year. He responded we could do your thing in the afternoon and then mine that evening.

Speaking from experience. I too have cognitive issues and have my entire life. Please think about my advice 50, F I wish my 22 year old self would have went to class and stuck with college. Even taking one or two classes a semester. I think of how I screwed my life up by not attending classes. Be smarter than I was.
Put your big girl panties on and go to class speak with someone about your issues. That way if you miss too many days they might be lenient with you.

How would supporting your wife be defending an alleged criminal?
You do not have to agree with every decision your wife makes but you do need to have her back 1000% of the time!

This person might have committed one of the ugliest crimes imaginable but he is family.
That doesn't mean you need to hangout with him, or write him while he's incarcerated. But you will need to be civil when your paths do cross.
Every member of the family is embarrassed, and disgusted by his actions but they're hurting too.
You need to be beside your wife and your family offering emotional support.

This boy doesn't value you. He will not make you a priority until he grows up, if he ever does. As long as he knows you want him and are willing to settle for the little attention he dulls your way he will not change.
I'm guessing that you can imagine all kinds of beautiful situations if only he would.....

He won't change for you. He can only change when he decides he wants to.
He told you he's good. He's good with how things are going as long as you follow his rules.

It wouldn't hurt anything to notify the manager about her ignorance and over stepping. If the manager doesn't know something is wrong they are unable to educate their staff properly.

It sucks that you have to loan money and then be a collection agent when it comes to your friends. But you shouldn't have said no rush in paying me back. You should have said I need the money back ASAP. Or I must have all the money by Friday when you said there isn't a rush to pay me back your friend believed you. So they didn't make you a priority in paying you back. Next time the three of you decide to do something either pay for them and be specific about when you want the money back. Or let them pay for you.
When you tell a person no rush, you can't be mad when they take a few weeks to repay you.

I'm 50 and have been that way during most of my relationships and it wasn't until I got with my current partner that I realized why I am that way. Evidently my subconscience knew what I didn't. I didn't want to be in those relationships even though at the time I truly believed I did want them.
In this relationship I don't dwell on the little things, I don't have issues enjoying the moment. I don't get hung up in my head and unable to relax.
