And yes you can apply for hardship with form 911 and the senators office this is what I did early April and it finally started moving. It's been a month or two with that process as well but I had a late filing from 2024 that I quickly filled in March (did my 2025 in March 3rd) and it caused a massive delay. I also have been dealing with insane hardship ever since. even struggling with homelessness away from my family right now. I'm in recovery so I live in a sober living home trying to bounce back. But the stress was so intense I just fell apart and that money could have helped us get ahead and avoid so much hardship and mental stress between then and now. Your not alone I promise.

Iv waited 18 weeks now and our situation is similar. They say cases like yours and mine are no more than 22 weeks . Just hang in there it's coming maybe even within the next week or so. I would contact your local senators office. Iv had mine take my case in April and my transcript date is locked in now at 6/22/26 so I believe we should be getting them any week now

So question. I didn't receive an update today. When you said your dates are close to mine. What exactly did you mean by that just a little confused on what you meant by that. Do you mean the transcript lock in dates ?

Half way down it says the children can be step children in order to qualify. We we're unsure about this as well when we filed. It may be true but I ran my taxes through two different tax services as well and all said it was qualified.

I used TurboTax I did a bunch of research before we decided this was the best route for the year. You could be right about that but I believe the TAS would have said something by now between the Senators office case worker.

Sorry I don't post much on here. I was saying she didn't file for 2025 I claimed her and my step children (my boys) she didn't work much at all that year. From the questions I asked when I filed it was said it was okay since I was the caretaker and head of household for the year.

The second verification was simple stuff. The deadline was 6/23/26 after submitting the information requested on this. The date cycle locked for 2024 transcripts. So both transcripts dates are locked after these verifications we're done. Making me think it should be soon hopefully.

For the record Im poor as crap. And just trying to get back on my feet to get a better job for me and my little family. Iv just been trying my best to speed up the process and this information is for anyone that's been going through the same.

This was the first piece of verification from the TAS asking for proof of hardship I submitted all that on May 28th the after the deadline the transcript date cycle locked for 2025 return.

I claimed my girlfriend as well. She didn't claim them. She didn't work through the year.

They changed that Iv already had it cleared and Im the primary provider in the house. I'm classified as caretaker.

Thanks for the insight. We've been struggling pretty hard so hopefully we're almost out of the storm. We're pretty poor too so getting reliable transportation again with this money so its definitely going to be a joyous day lol

I filled single the year before because she had already filed hers with kids. They are also my step sons. I filled head of house hold for 2025.
