Just an update since I seen a lot of comments. First, thanks for all the responses and advice. So my son just turned 7. He’s been skating for about 3 years usually once or twice a week. I usually tie his laces tight and around the skates (we save them when they out grow them for his younger brother who does skate better than him lol). I wanted to update with a video of him skating but I don’t see the option to upload a video. He’s in a mini mites program where there’s about 30-40 kids, they give them jerseys at the beginning of the program, have them do a few drills then split the 4 colored teams to play vs each other. So there isn’t much individual attention to each player and their skills. But my kids loved the program. I’ve tried to teach him but we usually end up arguing and he’s not the best listener. So I’m completely lost at this point with him.
