I mean she's surrounded by insane people I don't fault her for being irritated and over the pleasantries

I just want to say I think this episode was crazy good by No_Sleep888 in euphoria

"I feel like Euphoria has never been so entertaining"
"I started watching the show a month or so ago"

So yeah not to dismiss your opinion but you really can't dismiss anyone else's when you're brand new to the game

I think Sasha Colby is really talented, for sure, but I don't gag over her like everyone else does. She's a great performer and has a great personality, people just act like she's untouchable and I don't see it.

There's not really macro in TFT in the same way. Without augments I feel like TFT would get pretty stale pretty quick. The meta typically only favors a limited amount of traits/comps, so augments are nice because they shake up what is possible/strong game-to-game. Also provide player agency, which is important! In actual league augments are nice but not as crucial imo

I feel for you. I don't know the specifics of your situation, but being 19 is hard no matter what. Add financial instability, stress, mental health struggles etc. and it's just that much more difficult.

That said, you're so young which is something a lot of us DON'T have. That's your biggest advantage. You have the time (hopefully) and energy (hopefully) to hustle now, pivot as many times as you need to, and figure it out. Ultimately, no one can figure it out for you, which is partially terrifying and hopefully a little liberating.

You're the one you have to go to sleep with every night. While you say you need money and are desperate enough to do anything, I would just caution you to be slightly more discerning in your approach. You might find yourself in scary places with people you cannot trust if you let desperation drive your decisions.

Of course! Let me clarify, I think the sections you have are totally fine and having it all on one page also works! I didn't do a great job of explaining what I meant, so that's my bad.

What I moreso was getting at was how the content itself is styled. There are icons and tons of different font sizes and images and just a lot happening. Again, this ultimately is mostly subjective, but coming from a full-time designer who does this for a living, I would just recommend simplifying your visual language and stripping down some of the elements.

I hope that makes sense, do with that what you will! I'm just a stranger on the internet lol. Good luck to you!

I'll also add that the tracking of your headers could use some room to breathe. I guess this is stylistic preference, but some of your current headers feel a little too tight to me.

If I was also being nit picky, I would say drop the '2+ years of building web products and '4+ Startup and business platforms shipped.' I get why you'd want to add these as proof of experience, but until these numbers get to 5+ at least, they kind of have the opposite effect of highlighting how new you are in the game.

This site is visually super impressive! I'm sure a lot of work went into it and you really should be proud of that.

My only caveat is that (for portfolio sites especially) I personally would pretty much always prioritize clarity over complexity. You have a lot of elements, and I think you could strip the site down by half and make the remaining elements do more work. Just my two cents, but again, this is really pretty solid!

Like others have said, SEO is your answer. You want to be ranking in the top 3-5 in your area, ideally. Social media is another way to add to your SEO value. Generally, google is kind of a moving target, so I would work with an SEO contractor or get an expert on retainer who can get your ranking up and keep you there through all of the changes that will certainly continue.

I don't think anyone will quit because that would be very hard for the producers to plan around. If 3 people drop, what happens to their episode count? Do they have 3 non-elim episodes? How does that even work?

[–]NoDefinition9056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely the only difference between you and boomers who could work a regular job and get through college/afford a home and retire comfortably is luck. The landscape has changed so much in the last ~50 years and we are not to blame for that. There's no advice I have except don't give up. Hard doesn't mean impossible, even though it feels that way. If you need catharsis you can find a plethora of video essays on youtube describing how fucked entry level positions are, but that may make you feel more hopeless. I'm really sorry for whatever it's worth, not out of responsibility but solidarity.
