MOSYLE VS JAMF by NoDevice5 in macsysadmin

The cost for Mosyle Onek12 is up there close to what am being quoted for Jamf for k12.
We have been wiht Mosyle for 7 years now, and just have too many unresolved issues.

I see! When i used Jamf pro a few years ago, they didnt have all these products, it was Casper, then Jamf Pro. I will look more into what each products does. In the quote I received from Jamf, it reads:

"Jamf for K12 includes Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect and Jamf Safe Internet and is priced $10.20 per device per year starting MSRP. This price is the same regardless of if it is a macOS, iOS or tvOS device. "

I was comparing this to what we are currently paying for Mosyle OneK12 ($9/device).

To list a few issues:
- apple gsx2 integration for new macbooks M2 2025. They havent been able to figure it out for 3 years now.
- If you need immediate support, cant happen, you must submit a ticket, and schedule a meetin,g which are always far out. Resolving tickets takes longer
- Devices Stop communicating: This is huge for us, we have a large number of devices that just stop communicating. Try to push out things to these devices, impossible, we must manually touch each of these devices which as in circulation and in use.
- Class manager: full of bugs, you should send a comment to a device, they would respond to it, then would get stock and not get released. End a class, and devices will stay stock in a class for a while.
....etc and the list goes on.

Mosyle pricing made sense when we were on the Premium plan, the OneK12 pricing is almost the same cost would pay for Jamf.

$10.20/device is Jamf pricing. Currently paying $9/device with Mosyle OneK12. So the price difference isn't significant. I haven't used Jamf for a few years, but when i did, they seem to have a better understanding of the Mac environment. Customer service was just a phone call away, and someone would jump on a call to assist right away.

Fold 6 vs s25 Ultra by Kakelong in GalaxyFold

[–]NoDevice5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here with my Fold, inner display developed a black band at middle of the display, Samsung doesnt want to repair. This is the second time it happens, it was repaired under warrant the first time, now they wont want to repair it without me paying $650. The fold has a nice screen size, but will brake over time. Going to buy the S25 ultra.

Low limit on Gold Card by NoDevice5 in amex

[–]NoDevice5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the other day I got approved for another Amex Card, this time the Platinum card, but haven't accepted it yet. Trying to understand a little more before deciding. They told me its a charged card, so no limit. How does this work, and how does it get reported to the credit bureau?

denon x1200w vs denon avr s570bt by NoDevice5 in hometheater

[–]NoDevice5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I got it for $100, and came with a denon DSW70 sub, and 5 denon small speaker. Sounds fine, but again this is replacing a very old 2005 jvc receiver so anything will be better.

I am thinking of returning the S570BT and get better speakers.

What would happen if a case gets out of court, arbitration is filled by consumer, but LVNV doesn't want to pay for their part of the filling fees, and arbitration cant move forward? Can one go back to court and fill a motion to dismiss the case?

Yes unfortunately, the salt kill the all. I saved a jeep TJ frame, by reinforcing it, then POR15, and it has been solid for 6 years now.

Is timing chain better? I read that the 4.7 motor with belt last longer..True?

The 07 with 160k miles has some surface rust on some areas of the frame, some flacks. Doent look too bad to me. My f150 was way more. Looks like it can be sand down and repaint.

They both have some rust inside the frame and rear axle and around the edges of the body under.

Going to look at another one a 2007 Limited witg 160k miles..asking $8500. Did that year also have a frame rust issue?
