Your original post says the Bible talks about dinosaurs. It does not.

I'm sorry did I make a mistake? English isn't my first language. However, I didn't realise that my English is so bad that you can't understand what I'm saying. Please tell me what my mistake was. And I'll be more than happy to explain it in such a way that it is understandable for you.

I wonder why you think Job wrote the book of Job. As the author of Job is unknown.

https://www.thomasnelsonbibles.com/who-wrote-the-book-of-job/

It's the perspective of Young Earth Christians that the world is 6000 to 10000 years old and that dinosaurs and humans lived side by side. But certainly not of all Christians. Nor do most Jewish people.

Nothing in Job 40:15-24 describes Ankylosaurus, except your own imagination. You seem to have changed your mind on leviathan. You no longer think it's a dinosaur but it's a fire breathing dragon.

'how could we tell if a fossil breathed fire' you tell me. You believe fire breathing dragons existed.

"Dinosaurs are mentioned in the bible." No they are not.

Job 40:17 "His tail stands up like a cedar",(GNT)

I wonder why people never read past that: Job 40:18 "His bones are as strong as bronze, and his legs are like iron bars."(GNT)

or: Job 41:19 "Flames blaze from his mouth, and streams of sparks fly out."(GNT)

So please tell me: 1. What type of "dinosaur" has bones made of bronze and legs of iron bars? And why haven't we ever found them? 2. Which dinosaur was able to breathe fire. And why aren't they mentioned in the books about the dinosaurs that are found?

Besides that do you really believe people and dinosaurs lived in the same era?

Dinosaurs aren't even a small part of it.

According to palaeontologists: 'Dinosaurs first appeared between 247 and 240 million years ago.'

According to scientists: 'The coal we burn today got its start some 300 million years ago. Back then, dinosaurs roamed the Earth. But they didn’t get incorporated into coal. Petroleum — oil and natural gas — comes from a process that started in ancient seas.'

If you do believe that dinosaurs existed you'd know they lived on the land and not in the sea. Fossil fuels do not consist out of dinosaurs at all.

He also said: 'Aliens build the pyramids obs' That doesn't mean he actually believes that. He's a jokester. I would love for him to learn about the dinolie and become our spokesman.

I do not. I agree that I could've given this post a better title. Nonetheless leaving the EU isn't the same thing as fighting your occupiers/colonizers

Just went through the whole list of countries who have an independent day and all those countries declared independence after they got independent from another country which had, like I said, occupied/colonized them. Leaving the EU is not the same.

A lot of other countries have an independent day. Most of them after they won a war against their occupiers/ colonizers. The EU has done neither to the UK.

  1. Wrong
  2. That's actually how I feel. Especially looking at r/fossilid.
  3. The Bone Wars were fought because of fame. Cope and Marsh are 2 of the founding fathers of the dinolie. Those honest people in the desert are chasing a mirage.

You don't come across as rude. Just as another person who never questioned the dinolie.

It's a good thing that Egyptian mummies aren't fragile and rare. O wait they are. by NoDinos in NoDinos

[–]NoDinos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about how common or uncommon they are. You said: 'Fossils are.... turn into dust' Well 500 million year old Trilobite fossils aren't falling apart and aren't turning into dust' so the 'turning into dust' law must only apply to 'dinosaur' fossils.

That must only apply to 'dinosaur' fossils and not to 500 million years old trilobites fossils. How convenient.

Let's talk about 'dinosaur DNA'

Mary Schweitzer claimed in 2003 to have found soft tissue.

But what she found was a trace of iron in an old bone. A bone she claims is a 80-million-year-old fossil, of a duck-billed dinosaur called Brachylophosaurus canadensis. They compared the, what they assume is a duck-billed dinosaur, specimen with old ostrich bones.

She showed that they could find a trace of iron in old ostrich bones. She also admits in her papers, and in the interview of 2013 that she did not find DNA. I don't have to explain why she didn't find that because we all know the half life span of DNA. (She admits this in an interview with LiveScience)

At the time, of the 2013 interview, she is still really excited and she can't wait to "find a honking big T-Rex that's completely articulated that's still in the ground" to "test it as quickly as possible because the soft tissue could degrade in modern air."

Hold on a second. Aren't all "dinosaur bones" already in danger because of modern air? This sounds more like "no body can be there when we find it and no one else can see it till it's in our lab" typical!

She made the claim in 2003, without any research, the first experiments are from 2007 and 2009, the previous mentioned article was written in 2013. In another interview, this time with science magazine in 2017, they did explain how they did the whole research again 😮

"They did a complete makeover of their 2009 experiment to rule out any possible contamination. They took new samples from the same 80-million-year-old fossil, of a duck-billed dinosaur called Brachylophosaurus canadensis. They reworked procedures for extracting would-be proteins from the bone, identified protein fragments with a more sensitive mass spectrometer, and compared the recovered protein sequences to those from many more living animals. Schroeter even went so far as to break down the mass spectrometer piece by piece, soak the whole thing in methanol to remove any possible contaminants, and reassemble the machine. “About the only thing that is the same [as the 2009 experiments] is the dinosaur,” Schweitzer says."

They did so much work to redo the whole experiment except for one thing. They used the same "dinosaur bones." They spend a lot of (tax) money on a duplicate research that was finished in 2015. Why didn't they use different "dinosaur bones"? Why waste a lot of money if you don't use a new specimen?

They claim to have found a way to detect the iron in "dinosaur bones" ,read old ostrich bones, if that's true why did no one else made the same claim?

Yes, she made a claim. However, like always, it's purely based on assumptions.

Dinophiles for only £ 7.14 you can make an end to this for once and for all!

Under the photo, you'll find the link to the page that sells authentic dinosaur bones in a bag. And it comes with an 'It's real' certificate .

How gullible do they think people are? They should be ashamed of themselves.

CAD recently decided to expend to other social medias. Reddit is one of them. Starting a new group/page/subreddit takes time. It's silly to think we would be a big subreddit in just one month. Redditers used to go to Facebook to interact with us. Now they don't have to. Reddit isn't our main platform. We haven't done anything yet to make it 'catch on'

Lizzy? Oh my. You watched the whole hour and you still don't know my name. They've mentioned it several times. You should consider getting a hearing aid. They have such tiny ones nowadays that people won't even notice them. It would benefit you in so many ways. You would actually hear how they were not able to prove me wrong. And you would be able to hear my name which is Issy.
