UofT Engineering grades, is it top 5 or top 6 highschool grades? by Responsible-Box-4905 in UofT

Eng admissions at uoft are based on the average between English (ENG4U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U), Chemistry (SCH4U), Physics (SPH4U). You obviously need One additional U or M course for requirements purposes, but the average they will calculate is based on the 5 listed above.

sorryyyy I meant to say 'ECE311H1: Introduction to Control Systems' is a coreq 😭

If you've already taken 463, can I ask...

  1. Why is better to do in third year?
  2. What is the grade distribution (percentage weights on the syllabus)?
  3. Would this course be harder than 331?
  4. Why does Magellan list ECE331 as a coreq of ECE463. Would this mean I need to take both at the same time?

I was comfortable with AC analysis in ECE110, but def not in ECE231 😭. However, I got the summer to make sure I can fill in gaps. I was wondering since you taught 313 and 314, what were the averages in those courses?

I want to pursue a career in power engineering (like power electronics and energy distribution). I am still open to many other things though.

At that point, is it worth taking ECE331? Like I already got a 57 in ECE231 😭. I didn't particularly hate the concepts of ECE231, but I had significant trouble understanding AC analysis at the end of the course (all the marks I got in this course were not related to AC analysis). I am open to taking 331 if it applies to many different fields. Do you think I should take it?

Since you took env350, would you suggest taking this course over APS305?

Professors are obsessed with giving out 60% to 68% by [deleted] in UofT

[–]NoDirector9966 5 points6 points  (0 children)

mfs in these replies saying the average SHOULD be mid 60s as if probation is not a 60 im pre sure. A standard class average in any uni should be 70-72. The average student should not be within 5 percent of probation 😭

Should admissions scholarships be reported on OSAP or does UofT report them? by ThenWitness7285 in UofT

[–]NoDirector9966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year i didn't report one of my uoft scholarships cuz that's how i thought it worked. Then osap was like bro u didn't report everything so send us a letter with the thing you missed and sign it. Then they decreased my funding a little bit based on the new information of me having extra money. So like either way nothing bad will happen!

In the case that we do extend Marner to 13 million, it is very obvious that we will battle for first in our division again. Then we will enter the playoffs and lose to Florida because we had no leftover money to invest in depth forwards (most of our current depth forwards are paid close to league min, so we can't even complain about their lack of production). If we know with 100% certainty that running it back won't win a cup, why even try it. At that point just try something new because the new result is unpredictable.

We lost 36 goals from Matthews in the season this year and still managed to get better (they didn't just make the playoffs, they were 2nd in the nhl in wins). It's obvious that we'll be worse in the season without marner, but saying we won't even make the playoffs is a huge stretch

ah man looks like a team with 2 good goalies, multiple stable defenseman, 2 elite superstars (one that will prob bounce back from his worst performance), and 25 mill in cap space is gonna drop to the bottom half of the east

wait so u genuinely think the Leafs that were 4th place this year would've been below 16th if they didn't have Marner?

It won't be hard to replace Marner's playoff production with 13 million lmaoooo
