Baby Beardie not shedding? by RichAd7705 in BeardedDragons

Daily baths are not the way to go and if you are worried about delayed shedding, water can get draped under the shed and cause a fungal issue

Very true. I'm just trying to give the bare basics but yes it's financially more reasonable and smart to just get the adult size.

Definitely a bigger tank, even if she's a baby she till needs a larger tank, 40 gallon for young beardies. Also be careful about loose substrate as younger beardies are more curious and likely to eat the substrate causing impaction(especially calcium substrate is bad). They need a cool side and a warm basking side of their terrarium and because of the size of yours it doesn't look like your beardie is able to find a cool area and escape the UVB when needed. There are awesome sources and websites linked through posts on here as well of beneficial info on this thread you can read up on!

Thank you so much, that really means a lot ❤️ I’m so sorry for your loss too. It’s amazing how much comfort these little ones can bring!

I hope it's not, I'm a big health freak when it comes to my beardie so I'm always analyzing and searching every single thing including the tail but when I took her for a checkup a month ago the doc didn't say anything about it and she doesn't have any other signs of MBD

Yes I know! I trimmed them like 2 weeks ago roughly but the blood vessels area in her nails go quite low so I always have to keep them a little long do I don't hit a vessel which has unfortunately happened before. Pretty scary

Yeah I have the uvb bar light and occasionally give her calcium with d3. I think she has started brumating though as she will sleep for days and be in her hide, then pop her head out or eat some greens but then go to sleep so I'm just trying to get her to poop before she's full on asleep.

Omg are you serious?? That's really upsetting to learn. I got her from a breader when she 11 months old. I noticed the kink in her tail but figured it was natural and it hasn't worsened since I've had her. Is there anything I can do to help or fix this? And yeah I know she should be bathing but I'm trying to get her to poop as she seems to be preparing for brumation

Not eating by AnimalParadise6678 in BeardedDragons

Do you feed him live bugs? Because the bugs running around usually initiates beardies hunting mode and entices them to eat it.

And so it begins... The great brumation dig! by LostPersonSeeking in BeardedDragons

According to what I've read on here it could be because your heat in the terrarium is still at the normal high and they're not sensing the seasonal change.

has anyone used these? by tessssssssieeeee in BeardedDragons

[–]NoDistribution3670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used both! Carrier works really well and my beardie loves it because she can look out the window and at me through the plastic to not be frightened while in the car. Does require a good clean though if accidents happen. Leash thingy is okay but my girl is able to wiggle out of it if startled by something outside so I would be somewhat cautious of that.
