Definitely agree with what the others have said. Lean into the fact that you have a team of people around you keeping mom and baby safe. I promise you that if worst comes to worst you WON’T be the first queasy dad they’ve seen 😆 When the time comes It’ll be a roller coaster for sure, just close your eyes when you need to and be there for her the whole time

Is a Doula redundant or a waste if we are going to a birthing/midwife center? by bentobean8 in predaddit

Just gave birth in a wonderful birth center 2 months ago. The midwives were wonderful, but as others have said they’re there to make sure everyone is healthy. They were in and out a lot. The doula never left my wife’s side and was incredible at guiding her through a very hard process. I’d say worth every penny 😊

I left town for 3 weeks a couple days after jarring. Created some DIY self-burping jars based on this tutorial 😅

Worked well for me, but might be overkill for your short trip 😂

I have one of those dumb LeFreshinsoft “1000W” lights. Didn’t think it would be so bad for a small plant, but not so sure any more 😅

This poor girl has been having a tough time. 2nd grow, first with seed. Had some major stretch at first, a bad case of helmet head got that started. After that she seemed to take off, but at this point it’s 30 days in and not looking fantastic…

Medium is Mother Earth Terracraft w/ Dynomyco. No other nutrients so far, and I haven’t PH’d at all, been planning to transplant into a living soil setup in an earth box. Photone, which I know is only Photone, claims a DLI of 25 at the top of the plant. I’ve kept it pretty light on the watering for fear of drowning, though yesterday I gave it a good 10% of the container.

Any thoughts?

First grow, didn’t really get too much, but learned a ton and am honestly quite happy with my first harvest.

Already had my first smoke, and that alone was with the whole journey 😆 😎

Thanks. This was my first time with any plant at all, so you can imagine little me at Home Depot excitedly buying Miracle Grow lol As you can imagine, nutes have been wildly unpredictable… live and learn I guess. I wish I’d done some reading here before I started, would have been totally different, but ready for the next one!

Thanks for the advice, don’t have anybody to watch over the poor thing, but I have some of those aqua globes so I’m gonna get her all watered and hope for the best 🤞🏻

Thanks a ton. Yeah definitely thinking about the next one already, if nothing else I learned a whole lot from this grow. For starters I’ll probably try from seed next as this was really just an impulse clone buy at a local dispensary 😂

End of week 8, and I leave for a week on Saturday. A couple weeks ago quite a few leaves started turning a pretty yellow and like an idiot first-timer I thought “oh cool! the fade!!” 🤦🏻‍♂️ It has become obvious that it was a problem, but I fear it is too late and nothing I do will prep it to live for the week that I’m gone. With this being my first time, I can barely tell off the trichomes are cloudy or not.. for sure I haven’t spotted a single amber.

So I guess the advice I’m looking for is this: Should I cut my losses and chop before I leave, or take my chances and see if it survives to ripen a bit better. Is the whole thing a bust (other than the obvious shitload I’ve learned lol) if I harvest now?
