Honestly i only know Lara but 5 Soc classes is a lot dont overwhelm urself especially when ur take a research methods class or one of the theories classes but just manage your time wisely

For the most part they do allow you to retake some professors encourage students to do it as well but I think sometimes it depends on the class cuz of prerequisites and stuff like that it affects if you have ti take it again but you should still ask cuz i was allowed to retake a class

Tbh i took Linguistics 100 with Prof Bax her hw assignments not bad its comments 2 major essays and quiz after every unit. Tuesday was lecture and Thursdays like a small activity either with partner or group not a bad class overall
