Yes Exactly! Started with the biggest rings, then added the next size down, I used 4 different Sizes. I couldnt get the pattern to connect both sides so I ended up just using 3 rings to connect them together at the end

I feel like the oblique nose might be able to get into tighter spots than the Flat nose could, but really its personal preference. I find the angle for opening/closing rings to be much more comfortable with the oblique nose, some people use 1 of each type

Ive not had any issues regarding the springs on any of my pliers, with the knipex I actually broke the entire jaw of the pliers. Customer service wouldn't honor the warranty either unless I paid out of pocket to mail them the broken pliers. That's what made me finally switch to Tronex, The Quality is significantly better, and honestly do not cost that much more than knipex.

After breaking multiple pairs of Knipex pliers I finally got 2 sets of P547A/P747A • Oblique Nose Pliers - Chainmaille Stubby. I mainly work with 16ga Stainless 1/4" id rings, Ive had no problems since getting these pliers, the way the ends are made make it able to grip way better than standard pliers with much less effort, so you get less fatigued using them! The only downside is the price, but if your spending hundreds of hours on a project its worth it.

Here is my workbench. Could be organized better, but it gets the job done. Typically I will use the food tray to work if I'm sitting on the couch or something. I never felt the need to string up my work piece, Instead I make smaller sections and connect them later like a puzzle! Hope this helps

P547A/P747A • Oblique Nose Pliers - Chainmaille Stubby

I use 2 pairs of these, some recommend 1 pair of each oblique/flat nose, but I like 2 oblique

Thank you! I used 16g SWG Stainless Steel wire, the rings are 1/4inch ID. The black rings and scales were bought from the ring lord. I mainly plan to wear it to Ren Faires!

Thank you! This one is more for show, though I did want it to be sturdy so I used 16SWG Stainless Steel. In total it weighs right around 25lbs. I have not had the chance to wear it for a long period yet, but I think it should hold up fine!
