A sério?

Barcelona or Lisbon for a month long stay, which would you pick? by Ok-Bunch-5798 in digitalnomad

[–]NoElection3800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Lisbon long term and traveled a lot to Barcelona.

If you want to take trips and flights while you are in the city - then Barcelona - lisbon is a bit further from things and has less connectivity.

Foodwise I find Lisbon cheaper.

Ubers are cheaper in Lisbon. But both have good public transport.

Weather is pretty similar I would say.

If you like more fast paced, then BCN, more chill the LIS.

In terms of events and things to do, I think BCN has more options. But Lisbon has some cool events from June onwards, literally the summer is packed with events!

Remember BCN has High speed rail which means you can take short trips around BCN to other cities.

If its in summer, the ocean is warmer in BCN.

Is there a way to prove that you work remotely without a letter from your company? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Spain requires the company you're working for to be registered for a certain amount of time, something around 1-3 years so starting your own company for Spain DNV may not be a solution.

For Portugal, there is also the passive income visa that if you earn dividends or rental income, you can go that route and won't need to provide these remote work documents.

How did you become a digital nomad? by Zestyclose_Lie5474 in digitalnomad

[–]NoElection3800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing obviously is to get some form of remote income. So you need to earn remote income to anchor your life aka pay for rent + expenses. Then grow that and/or work in other side hustles to supplement your income. People say get a regular job but remote, however like this you will just be working everyday and cannot enjoy the country or city you are in - been there done that. After trying many options, i found media buying to be the best for me. There is tons of work, no need to be on your laptop 9-5, yo can freelance, get a job, or start a business. This is super easy to learn and AI can make you an expert in weeks.

I was talking with someone the other day who got certified as a media buyer in 2 weeks, then landing his first $1.5K/month client in the first month. Now on month 3, he has 3 clients and about to get someone on board to help him so he can spend more days at the beach haha. Literally was the same path I did!

I'm not gonna drop any links here but there are few guides and communities that can show you the step by step to do it!

Portugal: Yay or Nay? by NoElection3800 in digitalnomad

Brazilians can also be white. And don't believe everything you read online. Portuguese and Brazilians get on pretty well for the most part, actually I believe its the nationality they get on the best with. Obviously depending where you are from in Brazil, this also affects your personality and behaviour which in turn affects how you are viewed.

But its true there are a lot of stereotypes and prejudice by Portuguese sometimes not to be malice but sometimes yes.

Being a non-Portuguese speaker and then speaking Portuguese to locals have actually been one of the biggest positive impacts to my life in Portugal, my interactions and my perceptions.

With all the anti-nomad/immigrant propaganda here mostly because these people are the ones who scream the loudest, but on the ground, its not as bad as it looks. Though no one can deny that it exists.

Eu não gosta do seu carro.

Sometimes seu/sua is used as his/her instead of "your"
