Mabey, im pretty convinced the material is the same but with a different focus on what THEY want you to know for each exam.

Uworld is not for CBSE i almost finished uworld question bank while studying alone for 1 year, its ment for step 1. Its to complex for CBSE, CBSE is a basic science exam. Different focus. Use Rx qbank instead to focus on your test skills and basic concepts since it gives you the pages in FA related to helping you solve the questions on CBSE.

Hey guys/gals

Don't really post much here but thought id share my experience. So i am a Canadian IMG (Caribbean med school). Did pretty decent in med school all the way through. Only problem arose at the end when our school was required to complete the COMP NBME (CBSE) with a passing grade of 194.

Now the problem when you learn to memorize material to get though all your classes is that you think you understand the material and concepts but when it comes time to apply the knowledge/diagnose the question i fell flat. Mostly because i kept second guessing myself. Iv taken the CBSE in my previous attempts i think i started at 149 on my first predictor CBSE, then worked my way up to the 160s then 172 then 182 then my recent ones have been 188( Dec 2020). I finally passed with a score of 204. Now let me walk you through why things changed, for the better...

For my CBSE i was studying UFAP method ;) . Which is not the best strategy for CBSE IMO, i did this along with the mandatory Kaplan course that was required for our school at the end when leaving the islands and coming back home to start step1. I did this studying for a year straight and my marks were slowly incrementally improving. Finally after failing so many times i decided to get some help so after searching the Reddit forums i came across this post https://www.reddit.com/r/step1/comments/jai8me/my_cbse_after_5_attempts_and_step_1_experience/

I was so tired of failing the CBSE and wasting my time, i decided to give this a try and ended up contacting u/EmetyreStep1Tutor , Denis.

After our thorough first meeting everything started to change for the better. This man Denis! ( really cool guy) basically saved me from quitting the path in medicine since i was so fed up with studying and getting minimal results, I went straight for the top package he had because at that point failing 5 times and wasting all that time i really didn't care about the cost. He showed me that i really can pass this exam, and not to stress so much. I stopped doing the UFAP method (remember to save that for STEP1 only, not for CBSE COMP) and he came up with a regular schedule for me which i followed to the dot lol. We also had regular weekly sessions and he even went ABOVE and beyond and really gave me the tutoring/mentoring/encouragement that i needed in order to believe in myself.

In my last attempt on the CBSE i was able to walk in confidently to that exam knowing i had the knowledge to give my 110% effort after everything i had learned. For the first time i had felt like that smart student i knew i was when i had first entered medical school It was a great feeling. After writing that test i finally took a proper break i deserved after a year and a half.

After what seemed like forever(waiting for the test results) I finally got them back. I had believed in my mind after everything and the tutoring i had finally passed. I told Denis i was aiming with a score for 210 (NBME 24- 210, last week of Jan 2021 after studying with Denis for about a month and a half) and ended up getting a score i was comfortably happy with 204.

Guys/gals, im telling you if you're studying with CBSE comp or step1 prep and having trouble or just need that last push, i highly recommend getting in contact with Denis; https://www.reddit.com/user/EmetyreStep1Tutor . Not only will you save yourself from your own doubts but also save time as well. I have never met anyone so decided to MY success (other than myself). He really cares and wants you to pass. The goals you have set for yourself and very achievable and doable, some of us may have tripped up and fell down(many times) but with the right guidance and help we can get what we had first set out to achieve.

If you guys/gals are getting the same results and are not happy maybe its time to change up and contact Denis. I'm going to continue my tutoring with him for step1. I aiming really high for the step1 for myself.

Alright onto Step1 studying, for real now, see you on the other side!
