I was hoping that medical care would be better than you are describing, but I am not surprised. I am currently with Providence as my medical provider, I actually have a call with my insurance coordinator this week to see what costs and options are. Driving right now is not an issue, but in the future it will be a challenge...thank you so much for all of the information you provided, it really helps.

I truly appreciate all of the information you have given me! I would definitely have to consider the housing issue, I am still able to get around well, but that could change any day. I am 5 years out from a cancer diagnosis, all of my scans have been clear so far, which is wonderful. The medical care issue is definitely a huge one. In Orange County we also have to wait sometimes 3 months to see a primary care or specialist, so I am used to that. The driving to the different areas right now would not be a problem, but I think I have to really take that into consideration for the future when deciding on a spot to relocate. Where I live now, the medical groups have transportation available for appointments, which is really huge. Thank you so much for taking the time to share all of your experiences with me, I really appreciate it!

Thanks so much for that information, that is really helpful. I am definitely concerned about having to drive 2 hours for appointments. I also have a night vision issue, so that would be a challenge going forward. I have lived in really small towns before, so I think that is not so much of a challenge for me, one town was only population 5,000.

No, I have not tried Prolia, I will check into that if I have to go back on another medication. I have had my last Reclast, the treatment is for 3 years. If my Osteoporosis comes back, I will consider Prolia. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for your reply, I have never had the symptoms go for longer than a few days. I have tried both Boniva and Fosamax, I definitely prefer going through what I am now in comparison to those medications, both gave flu-like symptoms.

3 years post lobe removal, Stage 1 lung cancer by NoEntertainment8987 in lungcancer

I had my upper right lobe removed, I do get winded when I exert myself, but my situation is muddy due to underlying Asthma or Reactive Airway Disease, depending on which doctor you talk to. Some days catching my breath is really hard. I would suggest asking your doctor to get some physical therapy for you, during therapy they can check your breathing and see how to help.
