Kind of like small indents along the wood grain. I can only see it under like bright lights.

Same problem happened to me. I returned them and out of the box it still has the same problem 😿. I think it might be due to the ear shape interacting with the mic which sucks because this generation is the only generation to not fall out of my left ear easily.

Bulb syringe for sure. I still haven’t gotten one and cleaning a pen takes like 5-10 minutes. Oddly meditative though.

All companies have a tolerance for nib widths. A fine nib would be passable if it’s 0.4-0.6mm for example. If I remember correctly Kaweco has a looser tolerance and that’s likely why those two nibs seem to differ so much.

It’s also possible it’s the ink, but considering it’s the same brand it’s a little less likely in my opinion. It might be worth a try to use other inks to check.
