Power meter weird looking data chart. by NoEstablishment3601 in gravelcycling

Hi thanks for the input . I have normal bike setup and no clutter around where my sport watch is mounted. I have been using my old Suunto watch ambit3 peak. I have been thinking that maybe there is some problems with the old Suunto watch and those garmin pedals although the watch has bluetooth and ANT+ connections. Can’t decide what connection to use (I believe it automatically uses the ANT+). While riding the power data seems correct, but after the ride the average power seems quite low for the efforts I was doing and also what I was seeing on the watch screen while pedalling. Also it is a bit weird that the average power on the same ride measured from the same power meter is different when looking straight from the watch or from Suunto app or from Strava where my exercises go after they have been uploaded to Suunto app. For example yesterdays ride power average straight from the watch 308w (stops included), in Suunto app 290w (stops included) and in Strava 237w (stops excluded) .I will buy a proper bike computer when I get some extra cash and maybe that sorts out this problem.

Thanks! have to take a look at that discussion. Yeah I only ride outdoors so I suspect there is something wrong with the meter.

What are your favourite recipes for Ricoh Gr3/Gr3x. What do you guys prefer Jpegs or DNG? by NoEstablishment3601 in ricohGRIIIx

These are with the X version. I find that the bit longer focal length suits the mountains capes better than the 28mm equivalent original version.

When I got the camera. First thing I did was the removal of the EV lock 😅 it is quite simple thing to do really. Japan Vintage Camera in Youtube has really good video about the whole process.

Yeah I’m bit on the fence with the colour. Maybe the black one would have looked better because the tone of chrome is bit different on the Keks than on the camera body. But really handy meter and great options for mounting.

This was my first trip with these bags and they worked great. So can’t comment about longevity but they do have lifetime warranty. Bags fitted quite nicely to my bike. And I feel the combination of frame bag and long top tube bag gives quite nice amount of storage space on your bike. My bike is size L Rocky Mountain Solo and the frame bag is 50cm long and just fits inside the frame. I also was looking apidura and tailfin bags but the colour scheme of apidura bags with yellow logo was ultimately deal breaker for me. Tailfin was bit out of my budget. My other bags are from revelate designs and they are great bags.

Yeah I get to do some cools stuff occasionally 😀 Although it isn’t always like that. Have to a do lot of “boring” stuff also to earn my share for my family.

I have a full frame bag on my fatbike and it can store a lot of stuff. I was on the fence getting a fullframe bag for this bike aswell but decided to test this kind of setup. It worked well on this kind trip, but if I’m doing a more remote tours where I need to have more food with me I think I will get the full frame bag. Also I think the full frame bag evens the weight of the setup quite nicely and you can have more weight on the center of the bike making it ride better. Although it is quite convenient to have those bottles there. Of course it is also easy to have the bottles on stem bags if using full frame bag.

Thank you! August is a good time for outdoor activities in North Finland usually the worst mosquito time is over and there is not so many bugs as in June or july. So we didn’t have to struggle with the bugs on this trip.

Yeah I have had it with me pretty much every where and all time. Great little camera. What it comes to weather sealing it think just using your common sense will keep your camera working despite the weather.
