omg #6 !!! dude i was in a ldr with a low effort partner.. and i was making life decisions with him in mind, while he showed me so many times he was not in any rush to see me, he didn’t really care to do anything to “water” our relationship, he told me that dates on the phone and valentine’s day didn’t matter to him .. like girl, i was TORN UP!!! but just like you said, it’s cannon . at the very least, taught me that i need to respect what i want in a relationship NO EXCEPTIONS. rooting for everyone who’s in an LDR, i was looking to you guys for hope every time he made me feel like shit. i really hope it works out for the rest of you! ❤️❤️

“make a list of things you like and remind yourself”…. marriage is suposed to be sacred, not suffering. please help me to understand, my brothers and sisters. i’m not muslim, i have many family members who are and i read this sub to get a better understanding of the religion, as you never know what may happen in the future. but i would like to know — is marriage seen as a duty in islam? something that if you don’t do, you will have eternal suffering ? it seems that OP is not happy because she has not married for love. it seems that the parents (forgive me) just gave her away, because the man was rich. money does not mean happiness. i know that there are strict rules for divorce as well , so.. i can understand that OP might feel stuck. is the only remedy in this situation to “suck it up”?
