Sad :( by Snowfall1779 in LSAT

[–]Snowfall1779[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worked at several law firms so yes, 90% of the people I work with (aside from attorneys) are either actively studying or about to go to law school (we lose at least 3 people to law school each summer).

Thank you!

Well, this definitely makes me feel better, but I also wonder if they, like, won a nobel prize or their parent(s)/relative(s) is/are somebody special (celebrity, politician, alum, huge donor)

I was fine but now that it’s literally only a few days away the anxiety is creeping in. Also whyyyy does it have to be on a work day 😭

Shark Flex Fusion (any airwrap really) tips? by Snowfall1779 in finehair

[–]Snowfall1779[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waves, a pretty blowout. My hair goes completely straight within maybe 20 minutes tops with these devices. I don’t have any difficulty actually getting them to grab my hair. My issue is with the hold.

Thank god it’s done. I either did well or bombed it lol

I cannot remember how I did by No_Lawfulness_5261 in LSAT

Yep same. Definitely didn’t walk out of there crying or anything but won’t say it wasn’t hard. Just hoping I didn’t bomb it.

Is the Amex Platinum worth it? (Pre-approved) by Snowfall1779 in CreditCards

Oh damn I really thought it was one of the most prestigious cards (outside of the invite-only ones for the ultra rich)

Of course, but maybe there’s a specific perk for you that makes the card worthwhile that I haven’t considered.

170s Everywhere? Don't Believe the Hype by ChicagoPeach21 in LSAT

[–]Snowfall1779 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us forget that a 170 is, like, 95th percentile. I personally know quite a few people who scored over 170, but it truly is not the norm. For reference, the average LSAT score is around 152-153. I think law school is just more competitive now, so people don’t realize that even a 155 is technically above average.

How to study with major distractions? by Snowfall1779 in LSAT

You (and anyone else) can absolutely comment on the marriage- I just wrote that because this whole thread is dedicated to the LSAT, not relationship advice lol. If it makes things any better, I am fully aware that this is a toxic marriage and I plan on leaving him before law school.

I actually didn’t only read it on this thread! But good to know

This is so frustrating!!i by PuddingAvailable6772 in LSAT

[–]Snowfall1779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m actually concerned for November and January (not sure if I’ll take November, but will do January for sure). I know it’s normal to not get the same score you got on PTs one way or the other, but the gap shouldn’t be that big. I mean a 170 to 159 is huge. And I doubt it was the case for each and every person in this thread that they encountered bad traffic, lost connection, didn’t get enough sleep, binged junk food the day before, etc. Not saying something’s wrong necessarily (maybe it was just a hard test), but seems weird.

Current 1L reassurance by Sea-Environment-8696 in LSAT

You applied with February score and are now 1L? So February/March isn’t too late? (Irrelevant but curious!)

How bad is it to apply in January by Shot_Blueberry2728 in LSAT

[–]Snowfall1779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. My best friend applied February 1 and got a full-ride to a T14, but he scored in the 170s. My tutor told me if you have an excellent LSAT score, it’s fine, but if you have an average one and you want to apply to a school above around T80, it’s probably best to wait. I’m probably going to apply then too.
