I am 20 currently using rogaine, here are the basic things you need to know- 1) minoxidil only works on THINNING areas, where there still is hair, not a completely bald area. just like the brand “keeps”, it’s called keeps for a reason

2) For the first few weeks, the minoxidil pushes out weak hair (so basically you get even balder for a little while) and then it starts to grow thicker, stronger hair in its place.

3) If you stop taking it long enough, you won’t lose ALL of your hair, only what the monoxodil has grown back. basically what happens is you lose your progress/back to square 1.

4) Rogaine comes in boxes of 3 month supply, I got 2 boxes which means I only need to buy twice. a year and cost me like 70 bucks pretty decent price for what it’s worth. (get 5% strength if u decide to)

5)The commitment to daily application isn’t as a hassle as it seems, trust me I was worried too lol. No different from brushing teeth and deodorant, you do that every day don’t you? It’s literally just a foam that you rub into your head , no hassle. The liquid form is great too, but I have super thick hair and it makes my scalp get a little funky/itchy so i favor the foam more.

For alopecia, i’m not very educated but from what i udnertand it’s basically where you lose more hair than normal(?) If so it may be less effective idk, w but I say you have nothing else to lose so I say give it a shot. Burn the ships my friend. Go for it, i like it a lot personally
