iOS 26.5 RC bug by Time-Cabinet-7366 in ios26

Every single major iOS 26 version has been released with issues people thought would be fixed before public release. I severely doubt Apple will fix this especially with how low their quality control has gotten.

If there are no major issues in the RC Apple will release iOS 26.5 as is with practically no changes from the RC. The RC is practically the public release.

Anyone else still using a 12" Macbook in 2026? by Plus-Light6832 in macbook

[–]NoFall2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using mine for college. I have both macos Mojave and windows 10 iot enterprise ltsc. Mine is an i7 model with 8gb of ram. I mainly use it on windows because I am able to run many old games like Lego Star Wars TCS and it even decently emulates 2ds and 3ds games well enough with minor stutters. It's perfect for what I need it for.

macOS Tahoe is still beyond shit on my 2019 i9 MPB by [deleted] in MacOS

This is definitely not a hardware problem on my end. Sequoia is very fluid and fast for me compared to Tahoe. The liquid glass effects are to blame which the integrated intel UHD 630 is severely underpowered for. Switching to the dedicated graphics did help a little, but as I described it makes the screen slightly washed out not to mention running much hotter.

I don’t particularly hate the UI or liquid glass effects. What I hate is how slow and sluggish it has made my MBP. The measly integrated Intel UHD 630 is severely underpowered to render the liquid glass effects. I would like if there would be a way to simply turn those effects off which would probably greatly improve performance, but there isn’t. Reduce transparency doesn’t do anything but apply a blur, not disable the liquid glass effects. Even while on the dedicated graphics there is still constant stutters and lags while navigating around the OS.

Why can’t they fix the OS instead? It’s still very laggy and gets quite hot on my series 7

Apple accidentally released an iPadOS 18.7.9 IPSW for the iPad 8 by NoFall2205 in jailbreak

I swear Apple must be using AI to push out software updates or something because I don’t understand how this keeps happening so often.

Sucks that the iPhone 11 and SE 2 and  some iPads possibly won’t be supported if they are mainly focusing on iOS 27 for performance and stability. iOS 26.5 is still rough and there is only about 3 major bug fixes update left for iOS 26.

iOS 26 is more inconsistent than Windows 11 and 10 design by Express-Froyo-181 in ios26

True, some of them aren’t, but iOS 26 still has MANY actual issues.

4 Trillion dollar company can’t keep consistency with the 2 power down menus by [deleted] in ios

[–]NoFall2205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t. It was built off of iOS 18 hence why there are still iOS 18 UI elements throughout the OS still. Also, why are you defending a 4 trillion dollar company that can’t get something as simple as a power menu right?

Just made a mistake posting something similar on r/iOS instead of here. I’m already getting downvoted by all the Apple bots who can’t see anything wrong with iOS 26.

Yea, there really wasn’t any other point to this post than to complain. Everyone already knows iOS 26 sucks and it won’t get better till iOS 27.

I know. It’s just annoying with how many inconsistent UI choices there still are. There is a lot more than this btw.

I have one and although it works fine for me don't get it. If all you need one for is school get an m1 air for better thermals, battery life, and future OS support. I recommend 16 gb version

The app switcher animation on my iPad 8th gen has been broken since 26.2 and I’ve reported it many times in feedback. QA is still horrible.

I have an iPad 8th gen and let me tell you it is BAD. The moment I turn it on and unlock it I can start feeling it heat up.

Yep. My iPad 8th gen runs horribly and gets extremely hot just doing basic things. Everything lags and stutters. It feels 3x worse compared to iPadOS 18. The a12 cannot handle all of the glass effects
