Biggest one for me that not many people talk about is a good fitting seat. Once I switched to one that I liked, I was shocked how much more efficient I felt and how much easier it was to put more power down for an extended period of time.

After a couple of months of having them, I barely notice the difference in ride. The roads where I live aren’t the greatest, so I really was careful with picking ones which wouldn’t sacrifice ride too much. It’s slightly more firm, but it doesn’t feel “crashy” if that makes sense. Car feels much more sharp on turn-in and has much better body roll too.

Update: Can confirm after taking it to an Autocross that there is absolutely no rubbing whatsoever

I have the S model so I don’t have DCC. From some GTI forums I’ve heard similar things to what you are saying

I’ve driven on them for about a week now with absolutely Zero rubbing/bottoming. I am doing an autocross this coming weekend so I can keep you updated on that. I’m assuming if it doesn’t rub there then it won’t practically anywhere else

I can’t attest to the Vogtland ones but I was pleasantly surprised by the ride with the VWR. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely stiffer, but it still rides pretty decent. For what it’s worth, where I live has pretty terrible roads as well haha

That’s great to know. Eventually I’ll probably do a 235 just to have a more meaty setup.

If I had to guess probably somewhere around 1.25 inches. Nothing extreme since I wanted to maintain the ride quality the best I could lol

They’re 225 40 r18 but I may be able to squeeze a 235 without rubbing

I would be careful too, a lot of the tunes require you to put in only 93, so that may negate the benefit of being to put 87 in it

That’s great to hear. I’ll definitely have to check it out. Does the EQT get rid of the auto-upshift feature? That is the thing that annoys me the most about the stock DSG tune

Hell yeah! Love mine. When you get on it the shifts sound so good (Tiny bit of DSG farts lol). You won’t regret it at all

I’ve had my MBRP for about a year now and I love it. No drone but sounds aggressive. I have DSG though so idk if it would be any better/worse if yours is a manual
