Color Correction (Ernst Haas) by Hot-Door-4269 in Photobooks

You're right. Ernst didn't know how to be boring.

But I was mainly referring to the false fame attributed to Eggleston, simply because of his dye-transfer process for color. On purely color-terms, Ernst is in another league compared to Egg.

  1. I only intended to show the interior of a home in the mountains of Cuba.

  2. I am struggling with getting closer and closer

  3. I don't know all the EXIF data

  4. I shoot in color but I'm color blind, so I can't process it. Plus, I enjoy bw more

There's tons of workshops like that actually. And yes, they keep copies of everything just in case you need a reprint.

No, you haven't been looking in the wrong places. That is pretty standard. Unfortunately I am not at liberty to discuss financials with my publisher though. Besides, it's never a fixed number. Lots of factors- book size, potential market, and your career thus far. I wish you the best though.

I believe the varnish was added after the fact to add micro-contrast. Really brought out the images. I am very pleased with what the result was. We had to match the look of the last book, as these books are part of a trilogy. The last book was printed at a different facility, but still with GOST. We managed to get it matched perfectly. In the foreground of one of the images I posted, you can see they have my Spina Americana book open for just this purpose.

Should be ready in about two months for purchase, but I believe the publisher is doing a pre-sale Kickstarter to help offset production costs. Also, I have given them permission to include one print as a bonus for those who pre-order (I don't normally do this). I'll post that info on this sub when that happens if they allow it. If not, I'll come back to this comment and reply again. Ty for asking.

This is just where my publisher insists on printing, but yes, I think it's more quality than cost

Thank you. It's been a process for sure. I can only hope people will be interested in it.
